“The Good Luck Girls of Shipwreck Lane”

This was a fun book to read and it’s a debut novel by Kelly Harms.

The characters ‘grow on you’! You wonder how you can relate to them at first but then you fall in love with them the more you read.

Ricki Jill featured a cook book with the recipe for Cherries Clafoutis and that’s one of the main dishes in this book.

Confidentially….this book will make you want to cook AND bake! (I’m using one of your photos Ricki Jill, hope that’s OK)

I also read another Lee Child book, Worth Dying For but it was intense and had a disturbing ending. I still love these books with Jack Reacher as the main character but I need to read a few other authors and mix it up a bit before I return to more of these.

I finally got my Goodreads updated for the year. I’ve read 37 books for 2013 and I’ll probably add at least one more before the new year!

Are you on Goodreads? Are you reading something good right now?

Thirty seven books is very good for the year!

I haven't been reading since before Christmas and that includes blogs, now I am going away for a couple of days, I will never catch up now!

I love to read but since I have been writing so much, I've been reading less. I've read 25 new books this year. I have also reread many of my favorites but haven't figured out how to log them without making it look like a first time read. I have 3 new books from Christmas. Checking out Literary Friday next.

The Good Luck Girls looks like a good book. I searched it and found out more info and I'll add it o my list of books to read. I never enter all my books properly on Goodreads, just when they are read, guess I need to do a better job next year.

Way to go on the reading! I know that I've read at least two dozen books this year. It has slowed down lately, though, because I'm not sitting in doctor office waiting rooms as much now, LOL! I love, love, love my Kindle and read now more than ever because of it. I'm not on Goodreads and don't really know what it offers.

37 Books is really good for one year! I just finished reading "Things That Matter" by Charles Krauthammer. I'm reading a whole series of Zane Grey books as well. Love those old western stories of his, even though I've read all of them before.

Diane
Thank you for your book reviews.
I like Lee Childs too, although I haven't read any lately. I need to allow more time for reading!
Have a Happy New Year!

I have NEVER counted the novels I read in one single year Diane, maybe I'll track it for 2014!
All the best,

No, I am not on Goodreads nor am I reading anything good. My eyes are so tired from reading blogs that I have no eye energy left. =D I am impressed with so many who have read more than two books a month! That's amazing!

That's great that you've read that many books. I remember when I was a kid I always read the limit on summer break. Where do you guys live in Florida, by the way? (When you're there.)

Hi Diane, we are reading all the Lee Child books when we can find them, used, that is. I read about a book a week. I don't know if you met Mary Ann who is one of the owners of Ridge Antiques. She is in hospital and very very sick. We are all worried. Please think of her. We would love to have you visit again. xo, olive

I need to see how many books I've read on Goodreads. Some of my books on my Kindle don't show up on Goodreads. I might have to start a separate list for those. I love the Jack Reacher novels but they are intense. I'm going to have one more to add before Jan 1st also.

I love to read but just haven't had the time for it lately. I do try to make time for my favorite blogs, but the books are piling up. Now that I got a Nook for Christmas, I'll have to find time or someone's feelings may be hurt! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and wishing you a very happy New Year!

Thirty seven books is very impressive for the year! My sister gave me a book for Christmas based on one of your recommendations. I had mentioned that I was interested in it and she bought it for me. It's Death of a Neighborhood Witch. Thank you for the book suggestions.
