Roses “to make things better”

Sweet hubby gave me a dozen roses ‘just because’.

I don’t think you could walk through my kitchen today without smiling.

I’ll just show you a few photos

and hope they make you smile, too.

And did you notice the little Valentine? I put a glass jar to hold the loose petals that fell off and a pretty Valentine that Celestina Marie sent me years ago. (I keep my sweet Valentines, don’t you?)

I’m sending lots of warm hugs to everyone affected by this bitter cold weather.

Wish I could send some Florida sunshine, too.

How are you on this Monday morning?

It's actually quite balmy here too, but with a forecast of a Winter Advisory tomorrow evening into Wednesday. Last week when they issued this advisory we got a dusting! Those roses are just beautiful and what a lucky gal to have such a thoughtful hubby! XOXO

How gorgeous are your roses. The girls are home from school with the latest storm. We're now expecting wind chills - 20+ . A wild and crazy winter.

I am cold. The wind is whipping so hard here and the winds are straightline coming off the bay. It is horrible. We have a high of MINUS six expected today and even colder tomorrow. Schools are closed for the most part. AWFUL!

NOT AWFUL? Those beautiful roses-"just because". You've got a keeper there, Diane. I need to dig my Valentine stuff out today. xo Diana

Nice Roses! And I am great this Monday morning! The sun's not shining, and it's 3 below zero, but I woke up above the lawn, which makes for a perfect day with no complaints!

Hi Diane, Your pretty "just because" roses from your hubby are gorgeous. I do smile seeing your pretty home with the pop of red for Valentines Day. Darling banner over the doorway. How sweet you still have that Valentine card. Was that included from a giveaway I had? I always forget the things sent out. Glad you are enjoying it and thank you for the mention. You are so kind.

Love the post below too. What a adventure that would be going across country in that rig. So nice they gave you a photo shoot.
Enjoyed your pics.

Have a wonderful day.

What a sweet hubby! Very pretty and a much needed bit of color for me to look at! Cold, cold, cold here! I don't think that it got down as far as they predicted, but still very cold. -9 here right now. I don't know what the windchill is. Let's just say too cold! :( But your bit of color just warmed me up a bit.

How sweet...Just because...That is a good man! I know us "Florida girls" are feeling a little guilty about our warm weather. Did you see tonight that they have storm warnings for Tallahassee. They weather man said in all of his 25 years he has never seen warnings that far south!

Those red roses are beautiful! We have a beautiful blanket of snow outside right now - about 2-3 inches - and it's still coming down. It will get down to 6 degrees tonight. But fickle east TN weather will change on a dime. It will be in the 50s this weekend, LOL.
