“Back to the Future!”

I remember a scene from the movie, “Back to the Future” when the Dad (played by Michael J. Fox) has two neckties on and has several tv screens on at the same time.

Well, we had a bit of a conflict on the night of the ‘Big Game’!

So hubby rolled the tv in from the lanai so that at 9 pm we could tune in to our favorite PBS show, Downton Abbey and not miss any of the football action!

Who could miss Downton Abbey?

We couldn’t!

Now that is a hoot! I should link to your post because I mentioned the Super Bowl interfering with Downton Abbey.

Sadly, Downton Abbey was better time spent. I haven't joined in on the story, mostly because when I was working it came on too late. At any rate we still love our Broncos. We are -13 this morning, send warm thoughts.

Haha! And I noticed that Downton got top billing, with the bigger screen! It gets my vote, that's for sure!

I had no conflict! Hubby was on a business trip and I don't follow professional sports:-D I just wish Downton Abbey was on 24/7! XOXO

Back in the day, I remember my father-in-law setting a portable tv on top of the living room tv so that he could watch two shows at once. These days we just DVR and watch later. Linda@Wetcreek Blog

Now that's just too funny! We didn't watch the game and don't get DA so it was a dull night on our 3 channel TV I tell you. Bedtime came early.

I must admit I left the game to see Downton Abbey!! Funny to have the two tv's....love it!

Football didn't even make the screen in our house, Downton Abbey and Sherlock were the only shows on.

LOL... We changed the channel to Downton Abbey.

I snuck downstairs to watch Downton. My husband watched it last night to get caught up. PBS has a link to the full episodes the next day online. Love, love, love that show!

Diane,
Would you believe I've never seen Downton Abbey? I heard it was very good. That's nice to have two tvs - it makes things easier.

Have a sweet day.

Love,

This is hysterical! I guess one must do what one must do, right? This was not a dilemma for me since football is not one of my great loves! Now, my hubby was working Sunday evening and if he would have been home, I would have just high-tailed it off to the bedroom to watch Downton :)But since he wasn't, I watched on the big screen!

Hello Diane
Rugby is our national game and I would want to see a final game too - we are lucky having Sky TV so we can record one program and watch another.

Isn't Downton the best - we had that series last year and I saved all the episodes to watch again - I love the clothes and all the details!!

No problem here since we don't watch any sports on TV.

I'm sure Downton Abbey was more exciting than the game. (The team we wanted to win won, but it would have been more fun if it had been closer.) Someday I am going to buy all the Downton Abbey series and have a marathon to catch up since I didn't start out when I should have!

Good choice- the Super Bowl was on the smaller screen, Diane. The game was decided with the first play. Very different.

I'm passing on Downton Abbey ...find some of the characters not to my liking....but I did enjoy most of it very much last season.

Hope you liked the magic puzzle app. I sure do =)

So funny! I'm glad that Downton got the bigger screen. We watched the game until DA came on and the switch was an easy decision!
Have a good weekend!

Diane we should have done this. Too funny!!
We missed Downton Abbey but plan to watch last weeks episode before this weeks. We found they repeat it every week the hour before the newest episode. I hate not knowing what happened. Well, just 2 more days. LOL

Have a great weekend.
