The White Elephant Sale!

Our community has 2 of these sales a year and Saturday was our wintertime sale!

I always look forward to it and I always find some wonderful treasures.

Here are some random photos that I’m probably not in! lol (hubby had the camera)

Here I am!!! This year I raced past all of my friends and neighbors (they appear to be in a blur! lol).

And this is what I bought: A beaded purse, a turquoise necklace, a tennis bracelet (she assured me it was NOT real diamonds!) a silver sugar spoon and 2 of the cutest little dolls I’ve ever seen. The lady told me the outfits on the dolls were hand beaded. I love them of course!

And my GRAND total was $12.

Do you know what made it even sweeter? I took the month of January off from thrift store shopping. I have not been since before Christmas! So February 1st was the perfect time to get back in the swing of things!

I’m joining Beautiful Sunday,

Mosaic Monday,

and Amaze me Monday!

So what do you think?

Real diamonds?

What find finds! I can just picture a special little house for your beaded-dressed dolls. Love that turquoise bracelet too. I'm sure it felt good to be shopping again. I'm going through estate-sale withdrawal.

looks like a fun time searching for treasures and you did get some gret ones! If they are not diamonds, I'd say lets just say they are, they are stunning and sure could be! They sure so sparkle! Don't they?

Diane, I bet you would be so much fun to hang out with!

They look real to me! So hubby caught you in an action shot! LOL

I opened the one of the crowd to see if I could find you...nope. There is always someone in every crowd who notices the camera and is probably thinking NOOooooo! Pretty amazing that all the others are quite oblivious.

The beaded purse is lovely Diane! Guess I was one up on you this past month as I managed to step twice in the local charity shoppe (1 Austrian hand painted pitcher, 3 dessert plates with ocean motives and 2 Erika Knight knitting books) for a grand total of $9.50!

Beautiful goodies for a beautiful lady! That beaded purse looks amazing, is it antique? As far as the tennis bracelet........try to scratch some glass with them. The bezel holders with prongs look like the type to hold real diamonds, but it's hard to tell for sure from the picture. I hope they're real, wouldn't that be an amazing story.

Hugs,
Meri

Looking at your table pictures, I saw a couple of items I'd like to pick up. You did splendidly! I only went to the thrift once last month and that was a too-short visit. Yard sales are beginning here again and I really need to be doing that too, don't you think?

Diane,
You found so many nice treasures. I love places like this. Your dolls are so sweet. I wonder what heritage they are? I have 4 of the cutest dolls with clothes to match my heritage - Greek, Polish, Spanish, and French Canadian. I've never given them away, even though they are just plastic small dolls. Your bracelet is so pretty.

I wanted to tell you that I put you on our side bar as "lovely blogs." I don't have too many up there, but your blog is delightful, and now I can just click and visit you often. Have a great week ahead.

Love,
~Sheri

I really love that little purse - precious!

Oh that's so much fun! I love everything you bought. Actually, I did just buy a beaded purse for absolutely no reason except that it was pretty. Real diamonds? Oh who cares, it's pretty and you like it and that's all that counts. Hope your week is shaping up nicely. :)
