4 1/2 reasons I can’t go back to the Thrift Store

Nickel mug day!

Does that explain it?

Oh, but this one has cute bunnies all the way around (Trend Pacific, Los Angeles)

and this one is cobalt blue!

And the one on the right is a Fire King mug…

and this one is Fine China!

Oh, you’re wondering about the 1/2 reason?

A small Holly Hobby cup!

(and I can always find a place for it)

Could you resist?

(or do I need to stay home again?! haha)

Nickle mug day - wow! I'm not much on mugs but that would tempt even me. Nice score on the white Fire King.

Too much! I have thrift shops like everyone else, but I need your "eye" for spotting treasures. I can see a couple of those mugs becoming "Tiny Worlds"! Google that along with the name "Mimi Kirchner". I bought her pattern but haven't used it yet.

Love that bunny mug!! No, I wouldn't dare go there. I already have a display of coffee mugs on my wall above my mural map of the U.S. plus mugs stacked two high in the cupboard. I should have my own mug sale!! But I bet you wouldn't leave your 80 degree day to come up here for it. LOL

I'd be a sucker for the mugs/cups too!

Too sweet to pass up. I think our goodwill have 49 cents when half priced..but never a nickel. You did well. I used to get cups that were like new and put treats in them for my sisters on sister lunch days. Hope you are having great weather..we have rain , lots of it, too much of it. :) xoxox, Susie

5 cent mugs! Really!?! I don't think I've ever seen a sale at a thrift store quite like that. How fun.

I never worry about too many vintage finds or other purchases -- not since I came up with the rule: For any item brought home, a similar item must be donated. Since I adopted that rule, I have no storage problems!

It's a good thing I wasn't there! I have the same Fire King mug that came from my mom's cupboard...it my dad's favorite. Now it is my hubby's favorite! :)

This post is nothing more than a crime spree! You were "mugged" for sure, and got a "steal" on them all! Excellent choices! Each one is a beauty! You are right - I would have come home "loaded" too!

For a nickle? Unbelievable prices! No wonder you can't stay away...

Cute bunnies on that mug - perfect for the season!

Seriously? 0.05 cent mugs? Well, I am sorry but I would HAVE to buy some mugs and I just GOT RID of about 10 old mugs! But I can always find room for a few goodies, especially the Fire King! I have NEVER seen prices that low on mugs, never, ever.

I'd say you need more at just a nickel each. No, don't stay home. Go for it!

Who could resist bunny cups around Easter ?

SarahBeth said...

Oh, gosh I'd have them all! There's a thrift store nearby that has them priced at 39c and then halves that sometimes... but nobody can beat 5c!!

I like mugs and coffee cups, too! I can't resist a nice one! Thanks for visiting me today. You know I'm a Missouri girl, but if I could live anywhere else it would be Arkansas! We love going there and we are always struck by its beauty and how nice the people are. The afghan is just a giant granny stitch. Have a wonderful weekend! Twyla
