Florida Horses

We drove down a white sandy road on our way to a trailhead and I took a few photos.

The horses were ahead of us and I took this through the windshield. (It’s the original unaltered, through the glass!)

And then we got out and walked around

to get a few photos of the barbed wire fence…

and the gate.

It was a beautiful, bright sunshiny Florida afternoon!

So pretty! Really nice photos. We see a lot of barbed wire fences in our neck of the plains!

Almost wants me to go for a ride on a horse again. I said ALMOST--I was thrown off a horse at the age of 10, felt like I would respect the right of the horses and not try again.
The pictures are really nice and what a beautiful day to be out and about.

What a lovely place to ride horses. I like the ring of wire wrapped around the pole on the barbed wire fence.

I do love fence photos for some reason! Wonder what that means? Love the picture of the two riders (obviously, you have a cleaner windshield than I currently do!).

I was going to say the same thing as several others. Our windshield is nearly as clean as your own. Hee hee. When we traveled out west last summer, one of the highlights of the trip was horseback riding in the mountains of Colorado. I'd love to do that again with the girls. Happy soon to be weekend!

I want to live where it is green! It is still quite chilly here, in the 30's or 40's if we're lucky. I live by Lake Michigan, and we are always cooler by the lake (our 4th season).

Perfectly lovely shots -- and definitely points out what really surprised us about Florida the first time we arrived here six years ago -- it is really quite rural -- something I hadn't realized.

I used to ride my horse 6 days a week. I loved them (I had 2, one got too old to ride). I miss them both but now I'm too old to ride. Not really but I don't have my farm or horses. I still have all my riding gear though....saddles and all....never say never!
