Let’s don’t go straight home!

We drove into town to go to the new Michael’s Craft store. It was so much fun to walk around to see what’s new. Hubby needed boxes to organize things on the new shelves he put up over his desk. I needed important things like pink felt and buttons for bunny and bear eyes.

And on our way home, we drove down a street that has a small pond. A good place to get out and walk around.

It was a beautiful setting.

And when we got out of the car we saw an eagle soaring overhead.

What a beautiful sight.

It’s not a rare sighting here in Florida but it’s very exciting for us to see!

Sometimes it pays to go the ‘long way’ home.

(we still have so many wildflowers blooming, too!)

Have a beautiful day filled with happiness

and maybe just a little excitement!

Not so many years ago the Eagles were endangered. Today we see them soar greeley and always takes our breath away. Wonderful photos, Diane. Isn't Michaels fabulous? And a wee bit dangerous.

That's the way to do a shopping excursion -- in the words of Jackson Browne "once in a while take the scenic route!" Beautiful pictures. Envious of your flight shots -- I wish I could ever get a picture like that!)

Hello Diane

Sometimes the best scenery just happens without our seeking it. The eagle is always an exciting visitor.
Have a wonderful weekend

Hope you got some "google" eyes just for fun at the store! lol I love taking the long way home and seeing what I can see. The place next to us is called The Eagles Nest. There used to be a ton of them around here but now we seldom see them. Sad-they are magnificent birds, aren't they? xo Diana

My husband wonders why I don't take the freeway when I drive to Michael's and Target, but I prefer the drive through the fields.

What a gorgeous drive you had.

I love this quote

"Sometimes it pays to go the ‘long way’ home."

Longer journey means longer chances of encountering different pieces of beauty.
