Stormy Weather ‘Photo Challenge’

We experience a weather pattern here in Florida in the summer time. Big beautiful storm clouds blow up in the afternoons.

IMG_6343

Sometimes they give us showers but just as often as not, the rain misses us.

We drove right into a storm on our way home from the beach a couple of weeks ago. We had to pull into a shopping center and wait for the heaviest rain to pass. There was no way to avoid it!

Life gives us ‘stormy weather’. We don’t any of us escape it in our lifetime.

Thanks for hosting this fun challenge Donna. I’m keeping you and your hubby in my prayers and praying for so many more of my friends in blogland.

Gosh that second shot is spectacular! Our lives are very stormy right now. Been at hospital ER for over 14 hours now. Waiting for regular room. Jim not doing well. No sleep for me either. Not sure if and when I will be able to post.

Yes, praying for Donna and Mr. Jim especially as they wait for a hospital room right now.

Beautiful cloud formations and a wonderful double rainbow. I also appreciated your closing thoughts.

Without the storm clouds there would not be sunshine. Beautiful cloud photos. We have had our share of those big billowy thunderheads. They gather late in the afternoon and sometimes mature into storms, but often head east toward the wheat fields on the plains. Love double rainbows. Hope you have a wonderful week end.

Yep, Florida does have a way with rain storms....I live in Fl too, on the west coast just north of Tampa. So we are both going through some rain storms. But it is that time of season.

Love the one with the white cloud in the middle....great shot!

I've been enjoying these 'stormy weather' posts. Those clouds, piled on top of one another are beautiful. We don't see skies like that on our coast.

I love your storm cloud skies Diane. The first photo is really neat with the white cloud over the black ones. I hope you have some sunshine on the weekend. Hugs. Pam

Both fabulous photos Diane. The second makes the clouds appear so low that one could reach up and grab a handful of fluffiness.

Beautiful pictures. Now, we also have a period of storms. A few days ago there were heat and then violent storms, rain and flooding homes.
Beautiful sky and clouds.
I send greetings from distant Polish.

I am a weather "geek" and watch the weather channel a lot! LOL! I love clouds and storms as long as no one gets hurt and my sump pump doesn't stop working.
Beautiful pictures!

Love your rainbow. We had storms yesterday, morning and evening. I was out for the morning ones, but happily heard the thunder safely in the house. Hope you're having a great weekend!

No storm is complete without the rainbow at the end right? I like the way you chose to put these photos together- they read like a series.

Hello Diane! We all like a nice rainbow. I would love to see one soon.
Here the weather is going a bit crazy as well. It was boiling hot till yesterday. I really mean hot. And today it is all grey and stormy like. I even managed to get caught by a downpour.
Anyway, thank you for your regular visits and your kindness.
Giant hugs from your French friend.
Arlette@Thammie TheDollMaker.
Ps: I love your black cats and I can't wait to see your dollies with the more fun patter you are working on.

Diane,
These clouds are very mysterious and pretty. Did I ever tell you that I believe when we see a rainbow it is a gift? I just received a gift here on your post, so for that......I sincerely thank you.
