Warm enough to swim in the Creek!

We’ve been to Fletcher Park (here in NC) to walk and enjoy this beautiful weather.

Most days the temp reaches 80, which is perfect!

And one day, it was warm enough for some wading in Cane Creek.

Let’s see who squeezed through the fence! lol

IMG_6616

Makes you want to dip your toes in the cool cool water, doesn’t it?

IMG_6619

Or at least take lots of fun photos!

I’m joining Tex for the Good Fences party!

I hope you’ll party with us too!

I love wading in creeks, streams, the ocean...

We've got almost fall like weather here, it feels great, but dont' want summer to end just yet!

Well it just shows what a few miles can do because when I think of wading in water I shiver even though it's summer here.
We've just had 'Bertha' pass through and everywhere is very soggy.
Fantastic fun outdoor shots ;D
Enjoy your day

ooo...I want to find a stream where I can dip my toes and wade. Thank you for the virtual refreshment.

Diane, Yesterday I was looking into the creek at our park. I thought about when we would get in it. My gosh, looking at it ,now I know why our parents told us to stay out of it. Even though our park dept. has had the creek cleaned of trash and cement chunks. It's clean but still scary to think about. Love the fences. xoxo,Susie

Since moving to Florida I stay away from ponds and rivers. I'm so afraid of coming up to a gator. I'm a tasty morsel.

We still love to wade the creeks and fish! And I sure would have my fishing rod there, if it were allowed.

Thanks for visiting Nanaland today and telling me who you love on Downton Abbey!! Love your blog...we are headed to Brevard NC the week after Christmas to visit Biltmore House. My brother in law and his family moved from Savannah, Ga to Brevard recently. Looking forward to visiting your state.

It looks perfect to me Diane. My favourite temperature is 75-80. Tonight it's raining (has all day) so it's damp and cool in the house and I'm wearing long yoga pants, hoodie and socks!! lol Nice fences in your photos! Happy weekend to you. Hugs, Pam

Hi Diane,
That is a beautiful park, and when we used to vacation up there we loved driving thru the mountains and stopping at streams along the way
and wading in the creek, so fun!
Read about your condo too, very nice and what fun to get to live 2 places when the weather is great!
A very nice change of pace I am sure, it really is for us just when we go visit even.
Your collection of golden books is cute, I always liked those too.
Very cheery and cute.
I like to read too, but don't quite devour books like I used to.
Sometimes hubby and I read to each other.....right now we are reading one by Dr. Ben Carson, but can't
remember the name, and it is the
middle of the night, so don't think hubby would enjoy me turning on the light to check the title right now........lol
I am reading one myself called
"God is Able" and it is very good too.
Well, gonna head back to beddie bye land,
Have a great weekend.
Blessings, Nellie

The creek reminds me of a wayside we stopped at on vacation in Kentucky many years ago. We let the kids go in wading and my daughter left her shoes behind. It took half a day to find a store where we could get her a new pair.

What great photos of children playing like we used to. So, not all children are in front of a t.v. or video game...nice to see.

Hi Diane! Looks like life is treating you kindly! What a gorgeous park and such pretty photos. Enjoy. It's been a busy summer over at our house. Sadly, my sons last year til he is off to college. Time sure flies. Cheers!
