We need Groceries!

Some grocery stores are fun to shop in and there are several that we like in this area.

We usually go to Fresh Market first but we found ourselves driving by Earth Fare on our way to get bagels at Brueggers so we shopped there.

IMG_6798

Lots of choices and most of it is organic.

IMG_6786

Something about the flavor of organically grown produce that is so much tastier and they make an effort to supply the store with local produce in season, too.

The organic rotisserie chicken will make 2 meals for us, so at $7.99 it is a bargain!

Specialty coffee, little bags of nuts, (hubby even got some dark chocolate covered cashews!), sourdough bread, fresh from the bakery, beer brewed right here in Asheville, Asiago cheese, and soups and dips! OH MY! We won’t go out to eat this weekend! lol And she gave us some special discounts. (our total was $72, for those that are curious, bagels $9 for a baker’s dozen)

I even got a bar of mint soap…amazing!

Bruegger’s Bagels are the BEST.

Hubby likes the sesame and I like blueberry.

Which do you like best?

All your food looked good. The bread ..oh yummy. I like bagels too. I just bought some plain ones so I could have peanut butter on them. That can be a quick lunch for me. Hope you are having a great time. xoxo,Susie

Such good food. I tend to shop at the same market that I have shoppe at for literally decades. I our area we don't have much variety in food stores, anyway.

Dear Diane.
I can tell you, just reading and seeing all those lovely organic foods you bought. My mouth is watering.
I am going shopping now.. not that I can get those things here.. some I can.
Bagels are only sold in some delies in Lisbon. If I were to choose I would choose Blueberry.

We did the same thing this weekend! We went to Central Market because they are having the Hatch Chile Festival. That means they've found a way to incorporate Hatch chiles into half the things they sell. We bought chiles, burgers they are to die for, cheese, salsa, tortillas, etc. We spend extra when we go there but we always say it's cheaper than eating out. :)

Sounds like a great store! You found lots of yummies there! I didn't know that New Belgium had built another brewery. We've been to their original one in Fort Collins. We had a private tour and it was very impressive. We love many of their beers. We've even been to one of their Tour de Fat festivals. It was SO much fun! We're hoping to go again this year.

We don't have a store like that here. But I do go to a local farm and get their fresh produce. There's nothing like right from the field to the table. I'm not fond of blueberries, so think I'll pass on that bagel. I love everything or garlic bagels best.

So you are in Ashville now? How long do you stay there? Why aren't you there in the heat of the summer? Or is that now in Florida? I'm just nosie, I mean curious. lol!
I ate supper already but you were making my mouth water with all that delicious food! And organic...I love it but it's like pulling hen's teeth down here to find any. We had a Bruegers in Iowa I used to go to and Panera's was good too. Lucky you! I like the looks of that Belgian Wheat Beer also.
