Bigger than a Bread Box?

A trip to NC isn’t complete without a stop at

Honeysuckle Hollow!

hhIMG_7849

I’ve been shopping there for over 20 years and can look around my house and see things I’ve bought there.

hIMG_7851

It’s always fun to visit with Jan. She’s a Florida girl too and loves Florida décor and vintage treasures.

(photo from her website HERE)

So what did I buy?

IMG_7854

Oh, I was glad hubby was with me to help me decide if we had room to take this back to Florida. I’ve always wanted one but don’t want to ride back on the top of the Subaru like Granny on the Beverly Hillbillies! (It’s bigger than it looks in this photo! It’s 20 inches tall)

Isn’t it a beauty?

Of course now, I’ll be looking for some cute little pots and pans for my dollies.

I’m joining the Vintage Inspiration Link party HERE!

I bought one of these crowns, too!

Thanks Jan! See you next time!

How cute Diane!! I saw a vintage doll house that I had to restrain myself from purchasing. It was just like on I had as a little girl. So when do you head back to Florida?

OH, you were so lucky to have the room to take it back! I love it - Suzy Homemaker!!
What pretty crowns too. I would have nabbed one of those too.

That is a cute one! And so glad you won't have to ride on top of the car, although it would certainly have made a fun blog post, Diane. ;-)

Oh, I love it Diane. I might even have ridden on the top of the car to get that back home with me. xo Laura

Hi Diane, looks like a fun time at Honeysuckle Hollow. You sure found some great treasure but the Suzy Homemaker stove is priceless. I love it and it will be darling set up with your dolls. The vision of you riding back home on top of your Subaru just cracked me up!!

Have fun and Happy September.
Thank you also for stopping by my spotlight feature at Junk Chic Cottage. You blessed me with your kind comment.

Great choice, Diane. Your dollies will love, love it. And thanks for you sweet comment on my mosaic post. Love that store. I am not always a yellow person, but that display and the photo you took make me want to do a yellow corner or yellow something.

It looks and sounds like you had a lot of fun. That stove brings back memories of playing house when I was a kid. I had a teenie, tiny little stove but always wanted something bigger like that. Very cute! I love the crowns you found too.

That is the exact oven my sister and I had as kids. I actually had it up until about 5 years ago when it met in an untimely accident with a basketball. So many happy memories!
