Homespun Harvest Happiness!

I think I’ll call him Howard!

bearIMG_8651

I had an idea to make a bear and wanted to try an old pattern with some old fashioned homespun fabric.

bearpumpkinIMG_8647

He’s considered a ‘classic bear’ and I fell in love with him while I sewed.

I received these cute treat bags and the pretty mug mat from Simply by Laura HERE when I won a giveaway that Brenda had at the Rusty Thimble a couple of weeks ago. Brenda has her September giveaway going now so visit her HERE to enter!

Even her cards are pretty!

Thanks Laura! Red heart

Howard thinks the treats are his!

And I think he’s right!

Howard is a sweet looking fellow, looks you right in the eye and always has a smile.
You won some nice things, I won some mug mats earlier this year and like them much better than coasters.
I've just finished 19 autumn cards for an exchange with some tea ladies and I enjoyed making every one of them.
Thank you linking to Mosaic Monday lavender sis.

Oh my gosh, that's the cutest bear! Well done you. I brought two homemade bears form England back for the granddaughters here in Vancouver. (Actually, I must admit that I loved carrying them around, and actually had a good excuse for why a grown woman needs to carry two bears thru Heathrow!) Secretly, I've never outgrown teddy bears, as I suspenct many of us haven't. :D

That is just the cutest bear - you are so very talented! I'm just curious, why did you add "word verification" to your comments? Some of those things are so hard to decipher! lol. I turned on my "monitor comments" feature to avoid the verification step. Just sayin'.

I just love the name you picked out. When I was little, a man who owned a cabin not far my parents was named Howard. :-) He was always fun to visit with.

P.S. FYI, I don't find your captcha to be annoying at all. The numbers/letters are easy to read.

Howard is so sweet, Diane. You know, I love teddy bears and they have sentimental meaning to me. My mom collected teddy bears, and when she passed away, we were each given one. Every time the girls travel, they take grandma's bear with them.

You are really getting quite talented with sewing these precious dolls and animals.

love,
~Sheri
