Little Suzy Homemaker News

Well, first I put it in the dining area of the kitchen.

IMG_8334

I had a good spot for it but it just didn’t look right.

IMG_8345

And then hubby came along and put a raven in the oven.

IMG_8337

But still that didn’t seem quite right. lol

So we both walked into the ‘doll room’ and hubby saw the perfect spot.

(Silvi 31 inches, Kida and Julika both 33 inches tall)

I put some of my favorite Himstedt dolls around it. I think the little redhead, Silvi is just the perfect size for it.

IMG_8357

They still don’t have any pots and pans but they are just enjoying not having to cook! heehee! And they have salt and pepper in case they get something ‘to go’!

I’m joining the Vintage Inspiration Link party HERE,

and Tweak it Tuesday!

Julika looks sweet, doesn’t she?

Aw, love your dollie room! And the stove looks perfect where you have it. I wonder what they are cooking (up)?

Your doll collection is impressive! the stove is so cute, it kind of looks like it could really cook. What if those dolls came to life and tried to make something...what a mess you would wake up to. I guess I'm thinking of the Raggedy Ann story books. Remember how the toys came to life at night? =) Hope you day is blessed and happy! with a smile.... Maggie Ann

oh I wish i had known you a few years back, the most perfect set of pots and pans I saw at the thrift store, they were old and most likely made for that kind of kiddy stove, I will keep my eyes on the look out for you,

I think the raven is perfect for Halloween! ;) Your dolls are just the right size for such a cute little stove. That's the perfect place for it.

This brought back memories. When I was little my sister and I basically took over the basement with our play kitchen. I think we had this stove, or one almost just like it.

Your hubby is a genius ;).

I had that very stove! I loved that thing, my mama hated it! I love your doll room and I want to come and play dolls with you. I will bring my 36" Lorrie Walker.

It's hilarious your DH put a raven in it!

Love your blog. Wow ...you've got some lovely Himstedt dolls. They're so beautiful. I have some international Himstedts from 2005 collection that I'll be parting with when we move. I'll be sad to see them go. Keep up the lovely blog!

Wow look at your doll room and all the gorgeous dolls!! I think your dolls look a bit dismayed.... they are worried they will now have to cook! LOL They are hoping you will not be bringing the pots and pans in next. Love that stove too!

Debby said...

Ok, I am jealous of that stove. I don't ever use that word but it is way too cute.
I was feeling bad about buying another one of Pat's dolls last night while I was trying to get sleepy. Insomnia stinks. But if my husband says anything, I will show him your doll room. It looks like a museum. I feel much better now, hah.
It's been a rough week here in my neck of the woods.
Thanks for making me smile.

Who wouldn't?! But it's getting kinda crowded in here with all of us. LOL! I think I had forgotten how large the toy was...my friend had one, but I had a wood one that my grandfather made for me, along with a sink and a cupboard.

Diane,
You have a doll room! It looks so sweet, and I think I would just look all around at all the precious dolls you have. How dear that your husband helps you to decide where things go. It reminds me of me always asking husband questions about the home and what looks best. It's nice to have another opinion when we are uncertain about things.

love,
~Sheri
