Thanks for asking!

Some of you asked what we bought at the Arts and Crafts Fair and I couldn’t wait to share!

I mentioned seeing the lady that makes shell boxes.

I’ve shown the one on my coffee table in the lanai several times over the years.

And it’s been years since this lady came to the fair with her beautiful creations.

So this is what I got from her.

I’ve already found the perfect place for the mirror in my bathroom and I have the shell boxes on my dresser. They make me happy every time I see them. I LOVE seashells. Look at the details on this mirror!

Hubby bought this pretty little wooden bowl handmade by a friend. And he got an art print by a local artist in the colors he loves.

We love buying unique things like these, don’t you?

Wow, she is quite a shell artist! I too like to have unique items in my house, rather than mass-produced objects. :-) Hope you have a wonderful Monday, Diane!

I don't think I've ever actually seen a shell covered item in person. I have no doubt they are beautiful though. :)

Love your shell creations! I have a small collection myself...including a box that belonged to my husband's grandmother. I have bought the supplies to try making some...I need to sit down and play one day!

The shell boxes and mirror are so beautiful. We seldom see anything authentic here like them. It is nice to be able to spoil ourselves by bring home little things that make us smile. I hope you have a good week that makes you smile.

You always share such lovely things with us. The shells made me wish I lived near the sea...I'm surrounded by mountains and deserts. We have to make do with pinecones rather than seashells.

Wow, wow and wow, to each of those shell creations. Plus your hubby bought treasures too. Yesterday I bought some knit hats our church ladies knit. I may be the only blogger who does not knit, ha ha.

Such beautiful things!!! That lady is an artist with those shells!
My daughter, Amber, collected seashell animals when she was a little girl. In this day and age of mass produced things it's rather novel to have one of a kind pieces!

Diane, you are going to laugh. At first when I saw the thumbnail on my blogs-to-read list, I thought the first photo was a cake. (Yeah, I know ...)Then I looked closer and realised it was a box covered with shells. A beautiful box. I had to click and see the entire post. I'm glad I did. This lady is doing an amazing job with those shells.
I have got a question, what are you going to do with the wooden bowl. Knowing how crafty you are, I can't wait to see the result.
Hugs

Those are the prettiest items I've ever seen made out of shells. I have one little round container a friend gave me for watering her plants while she went to FL but the rest of mine I collected and they are just "sitting around"...maybe I should make something with them. Love the bowl too!
