Thrift Store Bargains

I’ve been doing a lot better about cleaning out and purging. But when I take donations, I just have to run inside and ‘peek’!

Just in case!

I was very good for the whole month of October and only bought a few things.

I was looking through the fabric when I noticed this sweet little pattern and the old rulers.

IMG_9559

Thought these might be cute for a project for the doll room.

IMG_9605

The aprons are only a nickel at the old thrift store (when you can find them). Don’t you love the terry aprons. They are not homemade either, they have tags.

Thrift

And then “JACKPOT”! I took a big bag of clothes and handbags to Hospice Thrift and walked out with furniture! haha! Three small parsons tables. (about 15 inches square)

IMG_9643

We actually already have one so now we have FOUR! They are so perfect to set a plant on or a doll, or a basket. They stack so they don’t take up much room when you aren’t using them.

IMG_9645

Furniture was 20% off and then I got another discount for bringing in my shopping bag so I ended up only owing $4.58! What a bargain!

I’m joining the Vintage Inspiration Link party HERE,

Ivy and Elephants HERE

Vintage Bliss Tuesdays HERE

and Tweak it Tuesday!

It makes you want to go back…

again and again! Eye rolling smile

A nickel for that darling apron? There is a Thrift store here, but it seems a lot different than the ones I read about - like yours. I think it's because of the area I live in. If the clothing is namebrand the Thrift store raises the price to over $20.00 even it the article of clothing is in bad shape and stained.

Anyway, I think I need to visit you so I can experience "real" Thrift stores :) Your items are wonderful, Diane! Hugs to you!

Nice find on those aprons. Are you going to paint the tables or use them as is?

Looks like you found some great things! I just started cleaning out my house last week, and I hope to behave and not bring anything new back in but I love stopping at my local thrift store. I stop in there once a week, because you never know what you will find. Have a great week.

What great finds. I passed on a dollhouse the other day and am now having remorse. And those tables would be perfect for my two small dollhouses that will be on turntables. You've got a good eye and a great thrift store.

You did good! I found a black and white gingham checked apron with that same sweet stitching at Good Will just a couple of weeks ago! My mom used to make them just like that when I was alittle girl...it brought back such memories, I had to have it!

I know, I drop off and then I pick up...I have tried to go to just the drop off center not associated with a store. Love the rulers and I never pass up a vintage apron!

I'm in a cleaning out and purging mode too. I've been taking donations every few weeks. I tend to go in and peek sometimes too but haven't found any treasures lately. That sure was a deal on all those little tables. I can imagine they could come in very handy.

I remember those aprons-I have one that was my Mother's.
I've been trying not to buy much at thrift stores too. It works great until I see something I really want! Fortunately there are no good ones here in the Yukon.
