Sewing for Fun! “Wednesday Wee Ones”

I wanted to spend some time sewing for my dollies and they ‘sew’ needed new nighties!

NGGframeIMG_1165

So first I used a pattern from littleabbee that I got from Etsy HERE.

I had a problem with my printer. (it printed a couple of pieces too small so I had to make adjustments)

gcropframeIMG_0970

I have lots of dolls so this mismatched set of pjs fit Grace perfectly.

GingerframeIMG_1153

Then I made a little gown for Ginger from a free pattern from Pickled Okra HERE. It was SEW quick and easy!

NoelIMG_1179

And the little red robe that Noel is wearing is made using a free pattern from Fleece Fun HERE. The fleece is so easy to work with and there’s not as much hemming needed.

NGGClosefrIMG_1170

It was so much fun! But I think they’ll be staying in their pjs for awhile! haha!

Do you like the gown or pjs best?

I’m joining Tweak it Tuesday

and Katherine’s Corner!

And for other doll lovers, here’s some blogs to visit to enjoy their beautiful dolls.

Shelley at Simply Shelley has a new doll that she wants you to meet. Shelley was one of my very first followers when I first started blogging and has remained a faithful friend over the years.

JoAnn and I both love Madame Alexander dolls. She introduced me to them recently and loves to sew and crochet for her dolls.

And Arlette is a talented doll maker and loves to collect beautiful dolls, too. She has a new Gotz doll.

My good blog buddy, Danice gave two of her baby dolls to her granddaughter and has a sweet post HERE.

If you have a dollie post you would like to share today, let me know and I will add you to the list!

Take time to PLAY and

HAVE FUN!!!

Hi Miss Lavender,

Happy New Years Eve. I like the jammies best. They keep your legs nice and toasty. The one time I wore a nightie I woke up with it around my ears. Giggle. Must say though, those ears were p r e t t y toasty.

Heaps of Hugs
Prudence ♥

Hold on, I'm not done - and you know what's coming. Where are the bears? Don't they get jammies too?

You did an amazing job of fixing up your dolls for nighttime!! Love the fabrics and the patterns. I usually make doll clothes from odd scraps and they don't look nearly as nice as your three little beauties here ;) I think I like the pajama set the best with the yoke detail and little flare in the top. But they are all so very nice! Happy New Year Diane!! Wendy x

I love all three of them! You did such a good job! I love dolls too, but I don't have a Madame Alexander doll. I might have to look into that :)

Oh I love love love all the pretties you sewed. My post about my dolls is going up right now - this is such fun. I'm going to visit the other ladies and their dolls too. Thanks for including me.

The PJs look really good. You did a great job as always. Your dolls look so happy. That's good. That's really good.

Hugs and lots of love from me

I love the pjs Diane. I remember perusing the sews catalog with my mother and picking out the patterned flannel that Mother would make into pjs for us for the winter. How we looked forward to getting that package of material from Sears and Roebuck! Sweet memories.

Happy New Years Diane!!!
Your dolls are adorable and look just like the one I had many moons ago. Though not the PJs - you do a beautiful job sewing.

You sewed up a storm! Love the fabrics. Could you make me a pair for me like Grace's? LOL! I love hers! Ha! Ha!
Happy New year to you and your husband and yes,,,,we could probably get into lots of trouble together!

How can I choose? The girls are so pretty. But I am partial to the dark haired bob. She is just so cute. I am nursing a strong desire to buy an 18 doll. I just don't know which one yet. I bought Gotz dolls for the girls when they were at Tuesday Morning on discount, but they are no longer available. Pottery Barn now carries the Gotz brand, but now that I see your Madame A dolls, I am so tempted. I do have an American Doll nightgown pattern. My little great nieces have American Girls and I just haven't taken the time to sew for them. Next year. Happy New, Diane.

I saw your blog and stopped in my tracks. I am wearing my Christmas pantaloon pyjamas made from the same red fabric with white snowflakes. Snap! I hope your little friends have fun in their new night clothes too.

The nightwear you made for the little ones is as cute as can be. Something that small is harder, sometimes than a child's.

Simply darling! I'd like those comfy-looking pjs, though I am wearing a nightgown tonight.

Do you have a Pinterest board with your finds?

Happy New Year Diane. Your dollies look so cozy in their new jammies - I like the gown best - so sweetly old-fashioned. Wishing you a very happy 2015.

Wonderful work! My two girls just stay int he same outfits, I am sure it makes them sad.....:)

Do you make custom orders? I have two American Girl Dolls, Ruthie and Emily...both 1940's type of gals.....I would love to have some jammies for them....60 years old and still playing with dolls! Love it!

What darling dolls and clothing. Thank you for the link also. I just lover dolls, whether raggedy or "baby" :)

your dolls are so adorable...they look warm and comfy!! I always think of our oldest grandson when I visit your place. He has this thing about dolls, stuffed animals and clowns. Of course..he is 19, but these kind of things gives him the ibby jibbies!! He says he just can't look at their faces!! lol. Thought you might find humor in a 19 year old guy being scared of dolls and stuffed animals... Hope you all have a wonderful New Year's!

Happy New Year name mate! You know, I have a lot to apologise in 2014. Blog hopping and leaving comments took a step back for me last year. Pardon my laziness and being occupied with too much work. I rarely blogged in 2014.

Despite of everything, I would like to thank you for being a part of my 2014. It has been 4 years since I met you in the blogosphere. I will always remember you as one of the first people who followed and patiently read my blog. This really means so much to me. You never left me all those years of blogging. Whatever happens, I may not always be present here but you are one of the few bloggers in my heart. If God permits and I would have all the resources to see your country, I will definitely love to meet you. Please continue sharing your beautiful home and collections. You never fail to put a smile on my face. You are like an older sister to me.
