Take an Old Flannel shirt…

and transform it into something cute with the help of Etsy!

BearResizedIMG_0501

I bought the epattern from Red Dirt Primitives HERE and put my own twist on it.

I’ve been trying my best to ‘use what I have’ so that’s what I did.

One day soon, I would love to buy some felted fur and make another one using my old cutter quilt.

But this is what I had, so this is what I used.

I made it for hubby.

(after all it was HIS shirt! heehee!)

We hiked at Halpata Tastanaki Preserve on Saturday (it was 80 degrees) and I sewed on Sunday afternoon.

I’m joining the Vintage Inspiration Link party HERE,

Vintage Bliss Tuesdays HERE

and Tweak it Tuesday!

Did you have a good weekend, too?

The pillow is just so cute. I am looking for old blouses at the thrift stores to make vintage dolldresses because it is very hard to find quality lace these days. I have stashed away for when the whim strikes. I love old flannel shirts and to be able to repurpose them is a perfect use for an old favorite.

That's a cute little cushion! I have some plaid shirts that my son no longer can fit into, and was wondering what to do with them. Well I can't put them in the goodwill bag now, can I?! Always something more to create ;) Wendy x

Your header made me smile and I see the pixies over there on your sidebar. They look quite comfy on the couch :).

What a charming sweetheart he is! I'm trying to use what I have too, although I can say I'm not doing it nearly as creatively as you are.

I LOVE this pillow Diane -- you are so talented!! I'm still trying to learn to sew; I really wasn't interested when I was young, but now I wish I had learned years ago. I love all the plaids that I'm seeing everywhere now; this was a great way to use a flannel shirt! :)

It was definitely not 80 degrees here yesterday; it was COLD yesterday and today. Have a great week, Diane!

Hugs,

Denise at Forest Manor

Oh Diane, that is the cutest pillow ever! I've been holding onto some of my beloved's shirts and I want to make some pillows, but I just can't do it yet. Maybe one day....
In your other post you mentioned the Mitford Series. Yes, I read them all, but not this new one. I'd love to catch up with all those sweet characters.

Darling pillow and I am trying also to use what I have..hence the doll quilt. It does force you to be more creative, I think. You don't need that but I do.
