Year in Review ‘Mosaic Monday’

I’ve never created a ‘year in review’! And it’s HARD!

It’s been an eventful year and I blogged about most of it. So I wanted to show a representation of each month or of the things that meant the most to me.

But I gave up on that! lol

YearRev-001

So these are a random hodgepodge of photos I shared. (and a few I did in Waterlogue and colored pencil effects)

I sewed dolls and bears…elephants and bunnies, and various other animals!

YearRev-002

We spent time in Florida and at our home in the mountains of NC.

YearRev-003

I had fun thrift store shopping and read some really good books. (I read 45 books this year)

YearRev

AND I HIKED…50 hikes total for the year 2014! We hiked at Halpata Taskanaki Preserve, Ross Prairie, Silver River State Park, Canaveral National Seashore, Withlacoochie Trail and the Cross Florida Greenway. It’s been such fun and we’ve seen some amazing sights along the way.

Hairmosaictext[4]

And last but not least. It was kind of a big deal to go from blond to gray. But I’m glad I did.

I’m joining Beautiful Sunday and

Lavender Cottage for Mosaic Monday.

I hope you’ll join us with your mosaics this coming year! Thanks to Judith for keeping Mosaic Monday going!

Loved the re-cap and love the hair. When I went au-natural it felt very liberating.

I love this post sharing your events for the year. And I really love your new hair colour! It looks really sweet on you. I did it (stopped dyeing) 11 years ago and am still greying. LOL I think yours is really pretty. Have a great week! Hugs. Pam

I'm in the middle of doing my mosaics for my review of 2014 and yes, it is hard isn't it! As soon as I think I have finished one part I realise that I haven't included another one that I want to remember! Your 2014 was a very busy one and I love how you have put it together! Here's to a fantastic 2015 my friend xx

Ah yes, so many photos and how to show a whole year! You managed to share many highlights that included your hikes and crafts...45 books? Wow, that was an accomplishment!
Hmm, the hair thing. I'm just starting to get a bit of grey, lucky with my hair colouring I guess that it hasn't appeared before now. I've already told my young hairdresser I don't want to colour my hair so I'll keep doing the highlights and hope for the best with a blended transition. Personally lavender sis, I like the after photo of you better.
Thank you for linking and supporting Mosaic Monday Diane, friends like you keep it fun.
All the best for 2015!

What a lovely review. (I didn't read the directions on MM and so I didn't do a year's review ... wow, that's the same kind of problem I had when I was in school). You had a wonderful and beautiful year. And you went from blonde to SILVER -- and it is beautiful!!! Happy New Year!

Wow, Diane, you've had quite a year! You did so much I don't know how you had time to read 45 books. Love your hair gray. I'm thinking about doing just that.

The year has gone quickly hasn't it? Have enjoyed following your adventures, especially seeing a part of the country that I have not seen and perhaps won't visit. Of course, we are kindred spirits when it comes to sewing (of which you do much more than I) and your beautiful dolls. Happy New Year, Diane.

Diane I love the hodge podge actually and 50 hikes what a great idea....I need to get out and about more. The best is the beautiful before and after where I did not notice the difference at first until you said you went gray. You look amazing my friend.

Your gray hair is lovely! I've been gray since I was 35 and now refer to myself as platinum.

Thank you for your visit! And you spend the summer at my favorite place in the world, the beautiful mountains of western NC! I only visit now but leave a little part of my heart behind every time I leave.

Happy New Year to you! I love the hair! I am so hoping to be well and travel to Deerfield Beach Florida in February. Happy New Year to you! I wanted to reach out to each of you, and say thank you for giving me such a beautiful friendship across many miles. It has been a difficult month for me. If I sit to use the desktop, within a minute, or two the nerve compression pain begins. If I lie down, and prop up my laptop, which is very slow to run, as I am doing now, I have pain relief. Thus said, I am going to copy and paste this message to you wonderful people who encourage me to keep moving forward in this amazing blog world, otherwise, I would not be able to greet each of you at this time. I cannot tell you enough, what having you as friends has done for me...just wonderful blessings! Hugs from afar~ Mary
