Florida at the beach….in January!

We’re enjoying temps in the 70s, perfect for a day at the beach.

And when you drive to Canaveral National Seashore, it’s a good idea to stop at the visitor’s center and walk out on the dock on the river side. (the Atlantic Ocean is on the other side of the road)

A tour boat was pulling up at the time.

But the dophins at play were getting my attention.

It’s always a thrill to watch them.

Doesn’t this one look like a submarine coming toward us?

How cool! I've never seen a dolphin in person. Gosh, my state is boring!

Diane, I love whenever I can see dolphins. It's exciting. Probably from all those times of watching Flipper. :):) The good thing about Florida beaches...you can walk them even when it's not 70 degrees. Hope your Sunday is wonderful. xoxo,Susie

Hello, Diane!
I'd love to come there to enjoy the wonderful beaches and admire the dolphins! :)
Have a lovely new week!

I think we may head to the beach today too Diane. It's not 'hot', but the 70's seem just right to sit on the beach with a good book.

I'm wondering if the Dolphins are visible during certain times of the day? Do you know?

We are having a warming spell that hopefully will melt the snow. The sun does shine today, but it is breezy. I don't like wind. A walk along the beach and dolphine watching would be delightfull. So glad that you took us along with you.

I'd love to come on down - 70 is perfect summer weather for us and right now we have lashing rain and strong winds - and chilly. But I'm going to bake a loaf of lemon pound cake to have with tea.

Your photos are fabulous - love the dolphins - I've never seen a bunch at once.

It looks wonderful there and would be great to see a live dolphin. It's actually just above the freezing mark here today! Woohoo!! :) Rain coming later so will be messy with melty snow. Enjoy those lovely temperatures!

Your Winter is like everyone else's summer but I've been in FL in the summer and even the Spring and too hot for me! What's perfect is having a place up North in the summer and south in the Winter but I don't see that in my future! LOL! It's 60's here which is great for working outside. Do you have people take care of your lawn in the summer? I can barely stand it here in the summer but I do sweat it out and get my lawn mowed myself. Hoping to get back North before I die! LOL! The South is not for me.
Love the dolphins...what precious creatures.

There is a lot of interesting things to see in Florida. It's a tad cool here in the Orlando area this afternoon. I still made my rounds through the yard with my camera. There is always something worthy of a photograph. A warm southern hug back at you!

It looks divinely beautiful! It is in the 40's today..but still chilly. We went out to eat at Cracker Barrell and they had a big fire in the fireplace.....oh boy it felt good to stand near.

I can only dream of being on the beach in January. My white is snow, not sand. xoxo

Diane, what gorgeous pictures! I love walking on the shore and wading out a bit but I can't swim well so I wouldn't go deep enough to be near the dolphins (or sharks!!).

Believe or not...Wisconsin is having a heat wave! We got up to 38 degrees today. :-) It was so nice, we made up 3 snowmen.
Only bad part, after the warm up, some ice formed up on our driveway, I was not paying attention. Down I went. ;-( I am not hurt badly, just sore.

Love the dolphin photos!! COOL!

Wonderful pictures of the sea, Diane. I have been longing for the ocean lately, and was glad to visit it again a couple weekends ago. Those dolphins are something else - very smart creatures of the sea.

We had a very nice heat wave in Missouri yesterday. It was nice and sunny and 63 degrees. Very strange for January in our part of the country.
