Thrift Store shopping

Well I’ve cut way back for obvious reasons.

Too many neat things at great prices taking over my house!

So I’m not going very often and it sure feels like a treat to make a quick trip to the thrift store and come home with a few goodies.

I love old greeting cards.

And aren’t these Spring place mats sweet?

(3 for a dollar!)

And I couldn’t pass up this little child’s cup.

(it says Whistle for Milk)

I already had one but you can never have too many milk cups. teehee

A pretty red heart pillow, a heart necklace (for $1) and some I love Lucy DVDs.

Thrift

I’m joining the Vintage Inspiration Link party HERE,

and Roses of Inspiration.

Life it good…

and shopping is fun again!

(everything shown was less than $10 total)

Have you found anything neat lately?

Those milk cups are absolutely precious! Such a sweet little collection you've started. Love those spring place mats too! I have a weakness for vintage cards too. The graphics are so much fun to use in crafting projects.

I love all your finds but most of all Lucy!! My sweet husband purchased the entire set for me when it came out two years ago. I have sweet memories of eating my lunch at home when I was a child and watching I Love Lucy reruns on tv.

Such fabulous finds. Thrift shopping does get addictive. My daughter and I often go together and our obsessiveness feeds off each other, so I have put my foot down, no more. Ha. I sneak in on my own, but I am being very, very particular as to what I select.

Love the cute milk cups! When I see stuff like that and I really, really want to buy it, I just tell myself to leave it for someone else who will love it just as much as I would. I too was bringing home far too many things, and now I'm sorting out all that thrift store craziness and guess where it's all going ... back to the thrift store:[ I'll still have a peek in the store, but most times now I leave empty handed. It's been a good feeling. Wendy

I'm like you, "trying to stay out of thrift stores for awhile" but you have tempted me to get started again!

Wow! You did really well! I too love old greeting cards - and old postcards - and the ones you found are great! I actually did find a few things at the ReStore the other day and am working on a post about them...stay tuned! Really enjoy your blog and do understand about how the house can fill up if not careful ... I'm now giving some of my "finds" away to friends as little gifts.

Well, I can't say that shopping is fun. I'm one of those odd women who don't really get it. BUT! I do enjoy buying vintage and reselling it. Those milk cups are adorable!

I love your thrift store finds. I went to Good Will today but hardly found anything. I did find 3 Crate and Barrell tops that were new with tags. But nothing in house wares.

Oh what fun!! It is interesting the different kinds of things found in different areas of the country. Our thrift stores here are huge - the size of a big Kmart - or bigger - so it takes a lot of stamina to shop there - so I limit myself to a few areas and leave the rest for others.

Love those milk cups - I had never ever seen any before - and the cards are darling.

The most recent bargains have been some dishes on ebay - love it when I find a bargain!!!!
