To the MOON!

We say that sometimes when we look into the sky and see a jet that looks like it’s flying straight for the moon!

We watched an Osprey Aircraft fly over our house yesterday and that was fun to see!

Do you look up and wonder where these planes are headed and what kind of trip these people are on?

Such wonderful blue skies in you post, Diane!
Yes, often, if I see an airliner high above me, I look up and hope that the people there are going to meet someone dear to them or to do something interesting!
Have a lovely new week!

We see lots of planes because Point Mugu Naval Airbase is nearby and they do practice flights. On Saturday, we were sitting on a beach when a small aircraft came flying low - almost at me. He lifted up when he saw us and waved. I wondered what his story was the rest of the walk home. Was he just having fun in his great little plane for the day?

That plane does look like it's headed for outer space. Nice to see blue skies!!

I wish I was on those planes, especially if they are heading to warm climates :)

I often smile at the planes above us as they are either fighter jets having a practice dog fight or lower down we have little two seater planes coming into the local grass run way just refuelling before they go on their way. I love to see both. Have a lovely evening x

We live right under what I think is a heavy traffic area for airplanes, even if we are out in the country. Sometimes I wonder where all those folks are going, but mostly I am just glad my two feet are on the ground.

That Osprey aircraft is very interesting looking. We are under the main corridor for overseas flights to and from Montreal and Toronto so we see lot of plains and their contrails. Also we get a lot of local traffic from the airport down river. I'll be waiting to hear my honey's plane fly over about 5:30 today as he heads away on business. :( Do you suppose I'll see it? Have a great evening Diane.

Our home is on a flight path to the Huntsville AL airport and I often wonder, "Where are those people going? And why are they going?" when I see a plane fly over my house.

Hi,
Yes, we do wonder that too. :-)) I always wonder where the plane is heading and what is the plan for some of the folks on the plane.

Your photos are cool!

We live in an area where we see planes over our home frequently. I do wonder sometimes where they are headed.

I always find that my pictures of planes in the sky need to be cropped to see the small spec that is a plane. You did capture some interesting views. Lovely blue skies!

I do. And sometimes I wave.

The airport is one minute away (by plane) so I often look up and wonder where people are off to. Sometimes I want to be up there with them.

The Osprey aircraft is quite the machine! I do look up when planes fly over our house and wonder what the destination is.
Thank you for linking to Mosaic Monday Diane.

We must not be in any "commercial" flight path as I never hear jets overhead. We do have our own airstrip here so I hear the littler planes come and go. I do see the paths of the fighter jets that fly out of the Air Force station in Little Rock. I see their trails in the sky and once in a while you'll hear a helicopter mostly used to find escaped prisoners in the woods, I think.
The Osprey is interesting. I don't know that I've ever seen one and I certainly didn't know it's name. I learned something, thank you!

A lovely thought to the moon.....the moon was almost full last night covered in some passing clouds....

When planes fly overhead, they are usually en route to the Orient - such exotic locales I like to dream of.
Fun title to your post.

Yes, I do wonder where the planes are going and I often see the jets in the sky around here, but I've never heard of "to the moon"..... how funny. I'll remember that one the next time I see a jet trail.

That's an interesting aircraft!
We see lots of different planes here - sea planes, helijets, large jetliners heading for the far east....when I read To the Moon I thought of the Honeymooners - that old show with Jackie Gleason.
