Hop In for Good Fences!

Hop in the car and we’ll drive to the bookstore and see how many fences we see on the way.

IMG_2828

I can ‘safely’ take photos and drive at the same time…

tiltIMG_2833

really I can!

tiltIMG_2835

(are you car sick yet?)

The prettiest fences are around this beautiful horse farm.

We’ll try to park by a fence, too.

Here we are!

IMG_2850

Time to browse!

IMG_2840

I used to be so tempted by the magazines but now I get more ideas and inspiration from my favorite blogs.

IMG_2842

It’s still fun to look though, isn’t it?

(until you look up and get blinded by the sun! lol)

I’m joining Tex for the

Good Fences party!

Morning, oh those puffy white clouds and blue sky are so beautiful. Love to browse the magazines and books there too. Fun post, Francine.

So happy to see Mr. Sun pop out this morning after so many days of gloomy, cloudy weather. Thanks for taking us along on the ride...and B & N...Love to just browse and enjoy a Starbucks.

Looks like a beautiful day there. So nice to see the sun here after all our gray and snowy days. Love the fence at that horse farm. So pretty.

Oh indeed I am very car sick. Hee hee. I find that pinterest and the internet and blogs give me all the projects that I need, plus I found that several years the magazines have mostly gone to super simple (and mostly ugly and useless) patterns, trying to get their subscribers to think that they were achieving something good when it was just repeats and ugly. If I don't like a project on the internet I can just leave it - and not have to pay money - plus clutter up my house with magazines - hurray for the internet. Lovely fence photos - and the sky is beautiful my friend.

I enjoyed the trip and also enjoyed all the fences.... Wow...can you believe how expensive magazines have become? I could be addicted to them...but with the price like it is...I just don't buy.
Hope you have a sun filled evening.

Blogging and pinterest have made magazines useless for me. Who has the time for both?

Hi Diane, you always make me smile when I visit your blog and thanks for that. What a nice drive looking at the fences. Yiu went to my favorite book store. I LOVE you looking at the magazines too. I love that last photo too. Have a nice end of the week.

I'm guessing you really weren't snapping pictures while driving (at least I hope you weren't) Those angles in the first couple of shots were great and did make me feel a little dizzy. You saw some nice fences. Hope you had fun at the book store, sadly ours closed down about a year ago.

That was a fun little drive! Except for the wobbly part -- I'm feeling a bit wobbly myself now... LOL!
I could get lost in all the magazines if I didn't watch myself closely!

Nothing like a road trip. I had a terrible magazine habit, but blogging has helped to break the habit. I'd be tempeted to buy the Prims mag. Looks fun.

Thanks for the ride along to the book store. Ours is just a nice walk away and no fences.

Have been a lifelong magazine junkie and still subscribe to my favorites. Some of those new ones tho.....9.99 and ten or twelve dollars for a magazine??!!....no way. That is just rediculous

HA! Thankfully I don't get car sick! The kids have already started swimming here! We went right from Fall to Summer again!!

Oh I thought we were counting those beautiful clouds! Oh I agree, magazines hold very little sway with me these days. Blogs...Pinterest...I don't have to pay to read articles that offend or look at advertising unless I choose. Still, I would love to find a good magazine with quality and substance. Know of any?

I can't see the fences for the clouds! They are gorgeous. I get some magazines, free subscriptions, but they seldom get read. I'm like you and would rather read blogs!
Have a nice Friday and weekend.

I love you pretty photos, Diane! I visit the library once a week and always borrow a few magazines to look through --most often cooking magazines.I also load up on paperback books that have been donated--I buy them at a dollar a piece and then pass them on to my daughter, and in-laws.

Doreen@foxdenrd said...

Magazines are sooooo expensive, and I don't like clutter, but I will admit they're fun to look through now and again.

Looks like you're getting some lovely weather Diane!

I always thought you were the passenger when you took all your pretty photos. Be careful:-) I could spend hours browsing all the magazines in there. Too bad our B & N closed last year.

Oh, I enjoyed looking at those clouds very much. It looks like it was a pretty sky that day. Yes, I love magazines too, but the other day I was at the store and wanted to get a cottage magazine and it was $10.00 so I put it back. What happened to the $2.00 magazines? I can get the same inspiration from my blog friends, like you.

Have a nice weekend.

Same with me! I have stacks of magazines at home that are 'keepers' but I never open them, it's all about the blogs.
But I still wouldn't mind browsing that stack :-)

Fabulous properties to view!
And imagine being able to drive to Barnes and Noble bookshop!
But yes I agree there is more than enough inspiration from our favorite blogs these days.
Thanks for your sweet visit Diane!

Lovely fences, and love the blue skies! I too love browsing magazines, but don't often buy unless there is something I really really want. I find the quilting mags disappointing these days -so many patterns are repeated, it seems.

I miss B&N so much! The closest is 2 hours away. I'm like you, I don't buy magazines anymore as between blogs and Pinterest who needs them but there are a few that are from the Uk and Australia that I love. Mollie Makes and I think it's Homesewn from Australia but they have several...Patchwork and more. They are wonderful. Lucky you!

Drive carefully! I see fences that I can't take pictures of when I'm driving. I'm not as talented at multitasking as you are, I can barely walk and talk at the same time ))

Such pretty country, thank you for sharing it!
