Walking back to Downton

I know we are all sad to see the season end. Lots of surprises in the show last night and ideas for future twists and turns. I sure wish they would add a couple more shows to each season, don’t you?

Nanaland has a Downton post up HERE!

I stayed inside for 2 whole weeks. That has to be a record for me. I must have really been SICK! lol

So yesterday we headed for Halpata Taskanaki Preserve, one of my most favorite places to hike. We took an easy walk (1 hour 15 min) and the weather couldn’t have been better. It was cloudy, a slight breeze and 81 degrees. Beautiful!

It gave me a chance to breathe some fresh air and see if I had any muscles left in my legs! lol

We saw all kinds of birds. And threw out some bread for the scrub jays.

I hope your weather is improving and that you are well. I feel better every day! Thanks so much for your concern and especially for your prayers.

I’m anxious to get busy visiting everyone and learning the latest ‘blogland buzz’!

What have I missed?

Wonderful birds! I bet you we're soooo glad to get out! Good thing you have nice weather-- we just went through one of the coldest and snowiest Febs on record! Stay well!!

How fun to live in a place that has mild weather for the most part. I can't wait for it to get to above freezing so I can begin walking outside again. That darn treadmill...or dreadmill as I like to call it...is getting old!
Glad you are feeling better.

So glad to hear you are feeling much better, and able to get out to one of your favourite hiking areas. Now you know you have to keep hiking and exploring, and posting pics of wonderful things for all of us still trapped in a cold snowy winter! Hugs

So jealous of your weather. Here in MD we are dealing with the winter that never ends. Glad you are feeling better and were able to get out for a bit. Just started watching Downton and am into season 2. after hearing from my sister and daughter, "Why aren't you watching that?" Easy to get hooked.

Hi,
So happy you got out and about. It is so true, fresh air helps. :-))
Fun photos of the scrub jays. How big are they? They look larger then the Blue Jay in Wisconsin.
We enjoyed DA last night too. So sweet, Carson and Ms. Hughes xx oo

So happy you got outside for a walk. I know the sunshine today makes me feel better and I'm going to go out for awhile! It's been so dreary here but some sunshine today makes me so happy! This awful cold kept me sick for about two weeks also. Loving you photos sweet sis!

I was either laughing or crying all through last night's episode, talk about a bunch of cliff hangers! It's going to be an awful long wait until January 2016 :O( Hope you are feeling better Diane and out and about soon. Healing energy still coming your way.

Diane, you have definitely missed lots of posts of the snow piled up all over the east coast and Canada. But it is so beautiful when you don't have to get out in it! Take care!

Glad you are feeling better! Yes, I wish there were more episodes to Downton too.

Gorgeous scrubjays! It absolutely drives me crazy the way they do the TV seasons now! Every show I watch ends in a different month and then re-starts in a different month. You have to watch like a hawk for the ads that tell you when the new season starts and get ready with the dvr. If they would all end IN THE SAME MONTH and then do their re-runs for the people who missed episodes, and then all start again IN THE SAME MONTH it would help so much! :-)

I've never seen a scrubjay -- until today on your post, Diane. they're delightful. Thanks for sharing your photos. We don't have cable TV, so don't get current Downton. I've seen the older seasons on Netflix, and did enjoy them. Have a great day. ~ Nancy

Yes, Diane...so sad to see the season over with already. Glad you are finally better and could get out and about. I have never seen type of jays before...so very lovely. I will be heading down your way in a couple of weeks to the Destin area! Looking forward to see some sunny skies and the beautiful gulf :)

Oh, those sweet blue jays.....I see them a lot around here.

So glad you are feeling better every day.

Take care, my friend.

Nothing like a nice hike in the fresh air to regain you strength. You were out for quite a stretch. Cold here. More snow on the way, so the weather people say. I am growing a bit weary of the cold. Stay well, dear friend.

I've missed so much! So sorry you've been sick, but nothing but blue skies ahead and good health from now on!

How typical...as soon as we leave the weather perks up. lol

Glad to hear you're feeling better. Great pics.
I too wish that Downton's season would run longer, or that they'd have two a year. Seems like a long time to wait, but it's sure a nice thing to look forward to after the holidays. I just wish I had started watching the show when everyone was really into it. Seems a lot of fans have faded out. What did you think about Rose's wedding? She's my second favorite character...after Mr. Barrow, of course. ;)

The jays look like statues in your photos! We don't have scrub jays, but have blue jays and Canada jays (which look like huge chickadees).
