Wanna Drive or Dance? Or Fly?

We were out on a Sunday drive a couple of weeks ago and turned the corner in Dunnellon to see this!

BluesBrothersIMG_5054

I’ve taken lots of photos of the ‘Blues Brothers’.

IbisIMG_5049

But we still pulled over for a few more pics!

IbisIMG_5048

The America White Ibis !!!

Putting on a show just for us!

IbisIMG_5047

Which way should we go?

We gotta FLY!

Ibis

I’m joining Beautiful Sunday and

Lavender Cottage for Mosaic Monday

and Amaze me Monday.

Update : I’m still not able to ‘dance’ but I’m healing and feeling better each day. I still won’t be taking any profile pics for awhile. (how long does a blue nose and a black eye last?) And don’t even THINK about making me laugh, it hurts too much.

Thank you my friends for all of your concern and good wishes and especially for the prayers. What wonderful friends I have. I am truly blessed.

Miss Lavender Dreams, good morning. I hope you had a restful night. Why not stay in your jammies this morning and lay on the sofa and watch a movie.

Please rest and know that I love you (Mom too).

Hugs,
Prudence

Wendy, take good care of your Mom.

Oh I think you should definitely document then take an "all better now" pic to prove that you are. I've been thinking about "falls" since yours. We've had some in the family this weekend, too. They happen so fast and out of the blue. That Blues Brothers sculpture is so joyful! Heal quickly, my friend.

Glad you're feeling better. Take it easy for awhile.

They filmed one of the car chase scenes not far from my house and I went and watched them film it. Got to see Belushi and Aykroyd up close. It was fun to see.

What a fun statue of the blues brothers! Those ibis are such odd birds with their curved beaks. Hope your healing continues without a hitch. Take care!

Diane, when I saw your blog title, I thought it might refer to the pain meds you may find yourself taking!!lol I say from experience that it took over a week for me to feel comfortable being in public after my fall. You might want to visit your dentist as when I face planted it jarred my teeth, fortunately, I did not require any root canals which my dentist informed me could have happened.

Diane said...

Love that movie! Neat pictures! Glad you're feeling a little better.

Oh no! I haven't been around much and it looks like I missed something. What did you do to yourself?

Julia said...

It's worse when it goes through the yellow
stage! I almost did the same thing at a
bazaar Sat. I tripped over a stump but
lucky me there was a man standing there
playing with his phone and he caught me.
I apologized profusely and he said that
he was glad to be there. Whew! My
hands were full of purchases so it could
have been bad.

Get well soon Diane! Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Love the Blues Brothers and how fun it is!! Hoping you are feeling better. It does take awhile to heal (I hate to admit it, but age isn't always our friend). I was checking my mail one day and just fell...got a huge scrape on my knee, leg and ankle and it took months to completely heal. Take care of yourself Sis!
hugs,
Linda

Oh my goodness, I'm sorry to read about your black eye business. Oh dear. I hope you heal quickly. My oldest granddaughter (5) came with a black eye. She had a tumble and hit the corner of a low table. My daughter said it looked worse than it felt. Lovely blues brothers sculpture. They almost look alive. And also love the ibis photos. Imagine my surprise a couple of years ago when I was walking down to our village in Oxfrodshire, and spotted an African white ibis in the trees nesting. I had no idea that a few of them started migrating all the way to mid England recently.

I hope you are not dancing - at least not yet - and hope you are feeling better every day, my friend.

Very fun photos.

But I hadn't heard about your incident - accident? I've been away from the computer for a few days. Time to read back and find out what's been happening.

Hope you feel better really soon!

Oh Dear - I just scrolled down to see what happened - so very glad that nothing is broken and that you will be o.k.! It is so sweet that you had guardian Angels, Amelia and her family, to help you. Your poor hubby must have been beside himself! There is nothing more painful than injury to the nose and face - wishing you a speedy recovery - sending healing thoughts and prayers. Hugs xo Karen

I had to read your post before this one to find out what happened. Gosh, sounds like a terrible fall. So sorry but so glad it didn't break anything that would require a long, long recovery. Maybe just take it easy for a few days and gather strength....

Oh my, lavender sis, didn't realize you'd done a header on a sidewalk. So glad the injuries weren't worse and I'm sure your face is black and blue.
The Blues Brothers is so cool and a treat to see.

Good afternoon Diane,
Well you sound pretty good, and it sounds like you are on the mend. It may take some time for that color to fade completely.....hope you just take it easy for a bit!

Your Ibis photos are great! We went for a walk with the Miss Ellie this morning and saw a bald eagle! It was a magnicent sight!

You have a wonderful sense of humor my friend and I know you will be fit as a fiddle in no time!

So do I understand that you fell?So sorry to hear that! I hope you feel better soon! My Mom just tripped on her cane and fell breaking her nose so her whole face was purple, now turning green and yellow. We are ALL working on slowing down and "being in the moment".
