What a place!

Isn’t this an amazing horse farm?

fencesculptureIMG_1097

(they call them horse farms here in Florida instead of ranches)

And don’t you love the sculpture in front of the stables! (I zoomed)

That sculpture is amazing. I just love it! I have a house guest and we got turned around in Hernando county and was driving through back roads. We saw some lovely horse farms.

This place reminds me of when I lived in KY near Lexinton...the heart of horse farm country...which is also what they called them there. What a beautiful place!

That's a beautiful horse sculpture! It reminds me of one called "The Mustangs of Las Colinas" which is pretty close to me. The horses are running through a stream and fountain. Awesome!

How expansive the area is, for such a dramatic parade of horses! It's very elegant. I bet they don't put Santa hats or Halloween costumes on those sculptures, and kids don't climb them either.

Fun find, fun photos!

I think we call them horse farms up here in PA too. A ranch always seems like something huge and out west with cattle...:)

Great fences, nice skies and lots of pretty green pastures.

Perfect!

These looked like Kentucky horse country! But then I've never been through much of FL horse country, only driving through to Orlando and it was usually dark then.

We sold a quarter horse mare to a very large farm in Florida just like this - they were called Roberts Quarter Horses. We joked that the horse would be living better than us! I wonder if it's the same place.....

Karen thisoldhouse2.com said...

Indeed it is! Roberts Quarter Horses in Ocala, Florida. They used to breed and show very successful QH's.. they bought our mare, who was bred to their new stallion. I believe they got out of the QH Show world, but I'm not sure of that information. Their horses live like royalty, I can tell you that.

Gorgeous pics!! Love the details on the stables and those sculptures are so awesome! I have a thing for those fences. When we lived in Texas, our subdivision was a "horse" community and all of our fences had to look like the ones in your photos!

Suzan said...

WOW!!! Bet you didn't know those statues were there until you zoomed in!!
Ocala IS beautiful!!
