Did you plant that Palm Tree?

I love seeing the beautiful landscaping here in Florida and Palm trees everywhere!

(even along the highways)

I was not expecting to see them growing wild though.

So I think those standing out in a big field are the prettiest.

Pretty scenes and I love the Palm trees too. I wish there were palm trees here but we do not have the climate for them to grow. Pretty mosaic. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!

No, I don't have palm trees where I live. These are beautiful vistas! Have a wonderful day!

No. I have not even seen many in my life. Is it possible that I could have seen one in Tuscon? Must check on that. They sure do look like a beautiful addition to the Florida landscape.

There are a few palms in Texas, but not so many as Oak trees!

I like palm trees to. There is one in my backyard that is a "volunteer". I didn't plant it. Went out one day and there it was! Guess I need to clean out that corner of the yard more often!!!! Happy Monday!

Prudence is away at camp so I get to post and put my .02 in. Well, I am not a lover of palm trees, we are from the northeast and not accustomed to seeing them. Living in FL I really didn't pay much attention to them except in bad storms, since they uproot so easily. Our Pastor loved them and I always remember him saying that he hopes there are palm trees in heaven, I would snap right back and say "well, I want snow, tons of snow". We laughed but knew each one was spot on serious.

Have a great day, and no - no palms in Weaverville.

No palm trees here. In fact we don't have any trees that were not first bought in and planted. Our town is only about a hundred years old and really didn't start getting populated until the 1940's. Before the building of Grand Coulee Dam, we were a dried up dessert. We do have a lake and it was a popular Native American camping ground, but that was before a town was settled.

Diane, I love the highway lined with them. I would plant one if I could get it to grow. I like the groupings in spots too. Blessings to you for a great new week. xoxo,Susie

I can't imagine life without them. Have you noticed how they dance in the wind? LOVE.

I love the palms in Florida as well. Sadly, none where I live...

Every now and then we see a decorative, short palm tree, planted by a Victorian house here in NW WA - but they don't often do well. I miss the tall, thin palm trees of California - such majesty. Sometimes when I see a story with palm trees in the background I get very homesick.

The only palm trees around here are a couple of hours east of here at the shore. Your photos and mosiacs are beautiful. I don't know that I have ever seen them grow in clumps like that, right out in the open...that is wild!! Have a lovely Monday, Diane :)

No palm trees on our property, BUT, oddly, there are palm trees here in Victoria that will survive the winters. I think them out of place, but people like them. I think palm trees belong in Florida or California and preferably with a hammock strung between them and me in the hammock with a book and a cool drink.

Too cold for palm trees here Diane but they sure are a welcome sight heading south to Florida. You know it's going to be warm when they're visible.
Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday.

Oh, I love Palm Trees, but sadly they don't grow here. We have lots of pine trees and Aspen trees :)

Hugs to you, sweet friend!

No palm trees here in the northeast! :) But I enjoy yours as well as your pretty bird capture in the previous post :)

Diane, my favorite picture is the one with the trees all bunched together. I haven't seen them like that before. Palm trees make me sad for some reason. They look needy or something.

Few....Very few palm trees around here. To big of a chance of them freezing during the Winter months. They are beautiful trees.

Kathy said...

Oh my goodness, we do NOT and I think they are beautiful.

Lovely palm trees - everything is so green and lush! I like the little one 'outstanding' in its field :) Pretty perspective from below, too. We do have small palms that will grow here in WA - in gardens - 'Windmill' palms. They survive surprisingly cold winters! Pretty green mosaics, today, Diane. Wishing you a lovely week. Hugs xo Karen

Anytime I see Palm Trees I smile -- a BIG smile because it means I am NOT in the North anymore!

They are beautiful trees...I could get used to seeing them grow wild along a tropical island beach!

No palms here. My first visit to London I was shocked to see palms growing there. My brother grows them at his home in Texas. He has four by his pool. I commented how nice they looked since I had been there last. He shook his head, muttering: "We have replaced them 4 times." Sorta like me and hydrangeas. Pretty photos.

Here in West Texas,we barely have ANY trees and sure not palms. They are so pretty.
Son and his family left this morning for a trip to Florida...they were so excited to go.

Hi there ;) no, we have no Palm trees in Kentucky, but they are neat to see. When I have been in FL, both living and visiting, I like the ones that are the colour of Blue Spruce trees best.

i guess i would have to travel to the beach area of VA to see palm trees. i think. or maybe even more southern, i know i have seen them in South Carolina. we love to camp at a beach Hunting Island State Park, now that is a gorgeous state park in South Carolina. we have been there 3 times, & plan on it again some day soon. walking on the beach, waking up to the surf sounds, all sorts of birds and beach creatures ... doesn't it have to do with something about the soil or whatnot, where the palm trees area? i am not sure. thank you for the bloggy visit. ME, Mildred Elizabeth is one in a million. love her to pieces. i was trying to think when the last time was we were in Florida. when we 1st got married in 2004 we went there a lot to camp out. then we got tired of going to the same places & have gone to other days. it is also very hot in Florida ... i love aspen trees ... that is a tree i look forward to seeing when we are in higher elevations. take care.
