‘Art Lessons’

Holly is painting this week and needed a new art smock.

IMG_6349

I made the smock with pockets for her brushes and sewed a pretty scarf to keep her hair out of her eyes.

She’s so talented, she’ll probably be teaching art classes soon.

JoAnn and I are continuing our summer sewing challenge. She sent me this fabric and we both made something with it this week. Her blog is HERE.

And visit Shelia at Note Songs. She is making doll clothes this summer too!

Girl's got talent.(Both of you) Did you get my email about my Madame Alexander that I found at a thrift store for 5 dollars? She is in amazing shape, not a scratch or spot of dirt. I had included her in the blog post that disappeared on Monday. I will have get busy and sew for her now. I also have little nieces who have the AG dolls that I need to make something for. The artist's apron is so cute and the sewing challenge sounds like a lot of fun. I just need to get this dollhouse business under control.

Oh this is so sweet. I love the two fabrics together. I think our dolls would have fun together - painting or playing. The scarf is so cute - I've got to make more of those too. Happy dolls!

I want one too. :-) All of the clothes you have made this summer are so cute. I could use this outfit to help me with my canning. :-) Perfect place to put lids and rings. And a cute scarf to keep the hair out of my eyes ;-)
Love the colors.

Doll clothing is always such fun. They are small projects that don't consume a lot of time. I think they are a "happy and fun" project whether sewn, knitted or crocheted. As a doll lover I can relate to many things you post. I can see you are having some fun with sewing this. So cute and thanks for sharing. I hope to get into my sewing basket soon.

Holly is adorable in her smock and scarf. The fabrics coordinate beautifully and the rickrack trim accents the pockets so prettily! Love the squirrel too!

Holly is sweet, Diane. And I love her orange outfit. I read one time that ORANGE is the happiest color, and I really think it is.

Have a nice Sunday.
