Courtyard Critters

We see a lot of strange critters in our courtyard.

I’m starting with the Great Egret on top of the house next door!

Lizards run around everywhere here but we had to look closely at what was in the corner.

It looked a little like a green leaf at first but it was tiny tree frog.

Here’s a frog that’s not quite as ‘pretty’, seen in the courtyard at night.

Hubby took the flashlight outside to get the photo.

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE

and I’d Rather B Birdin’.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Island with a palm tree

Diane, I love your pictures. So good your husband helped. I would probably scream every time I came out and there would be things like that hanging on my house. That egret is a beauty. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

I enjoy seeing your critters - love that tiny frog in the corner. We don't have any lizards here so I'd really have to look to find one. Hee Hee - happy weekened my dear.

The lizard and frog are so colorful. Fun to see as long as they don't sneak up on me!

That egret is a beautiful sight!Majestic! But I do remember the pretty little tree frogs from when we lived in the Orlando area for 3 years. My kids loved them.

Interesting critters in your garden but I like the Egret best.

The Great Egret is so graceful and pretty, isn't it? You do have a lot of critters around your area. I have to say that I'm a bit afraid of lizards though, eeeek.

Have a lovely weekend, Diane.

I see things too, tiny frogs when I mow grass. I stop and scoop them up and place them somewhere less dangerous. I like birds too, I feed them all year long. last week I went and stocked up on seed for the fall. I picked up a bag of dried corn for those pesky little chipmunks. Maybe they will stay out of my bird feeder, lol

the little frog is adorable!

Reminds me of a sort of grossed-out moment when my boys were young. Middle son and friends captured a lightning bug, fed it to a frog, THEN BROUGHT IT INTO THE HOUSE TO SHOW ME IT LIGHTING UP INSIDE THE FROG!

OMG...

having boys is an eye opener. They are just another species from us females :)

That little frog is cute. Does it look a bit petrified? Can't find it's way home?

I'm going to agree with some of the comments above: the egret is my favourite. As for the cute frog, the not-so-cute other and the lizard, well ...
Anyway, take care my friend,

Fun! I miss my lizards ... Don't see them here in Oregon. Frogs we've got but not that cute little green kind. And egrets! I love them so much here and there!

Great photos - is that tree frog poisonous?
