Grocery Shopping ‘Fences’

Near our favorite grocery store is a development with a nice walking/riding path around it.

How neat to see this recumbent bike one day.

I’ve never cared about grocery shopping but I must say that Publix can change your mind about that.

They have such a beautiful store, great products and good sales.

I’m joining Tex for the

Good Fences party.

Have you bought groceries this week? Do you carry these reusable bags?

I do not carry reusable bags but I do like to shop at Publix. It is a little pricier so I wait for their BOGOs that I use. I shop at Publix about once a month I would guess. I do like that Publx bag! Too cute.

Hi girlfriend! How I've missed all my blogging friends! So glad be back reading up on all your adventures! I have to look up recumbent bikes...it looks like fun! We don't have Publix here...just Walmart. I wish we did as it sounds like a great place! I do use "reusable bags" and I wash them and they wash up great too. I wasn't sure if they would. I have the blue Walmart ones....yours are so much prettier!
I'll be "catching up" or at least trying! Have a great day!

Diane, There's a fellow about 3 miles from us who rides a bike like that down our road. I suppose it's a good exercise I do not know. I think of it as a recliner on wheels. LOL. My daughter used her bags like that all the time. She's very good at recycling...better than I am. I always forget our bags. I know they should be in the vehicles all the time. The front of your Publix is very pretty. Blessings for a wonderful Thursday. xoxo,Susie

I do use my own shopping bags. Often I forget them in the car, so I say "Paper, please." Have a fun day.

Publix is my favorite grocery store ! I do not use the cloth bags but do reuse the plastic and paper bags.

Hello Diane, looks like a nice path for walking and biking. For some reason those bicycles look uncomfortable to me. They may be better for all I know. We use the plastic but we are always re-using them. Have a happy day!

I just might enjoy grocery shopping if we had a store like this nearby. Beautiful scenery!!!

Over here there is now a small charge for bags in stores, so I'm now in the habit of bringing reusable bags to the store.
Lovely fence and recumbent cyclist photo,
Just to let you know, I've now put my photos of the outdoors etc on a new blog called Christine and her camera.
Hope you can visit!

NIce fence picture. No, no shopping yet this week. I use a couple of large reusable bags when I get a lot of groceries. I reuse the plastic bags for picking up after the dogs.

No, I do not use my own bags when grocery shopping. I do use the plastic for my waste baskets liner. I think it neat you captured the fellow on his bike.

I LOVE Publix!!! We don't have one here in Texas but I am hoping someday they will come! I shopped at one several times when we visited Florida and as much as I love HEB, I love Publix MORE! I have a friend who lives in Florida and she mails me the little magazines thay put out.
I take an insulated bag for cold items when I grocery shop.

Hi sweet friend! I went grocery shopping on Monday, but I am headed there today because I am having a craving for salmon {{smiles}} Thanks for the lovely pictures. Have a wonderful day. Hugs!

I've always thought it would be uncomfortable riding one of those bikes like that. Neat shots of the rider and the pretty white fence. We don't have Publix markets in our area but it's neat to find a store you enjoy shopping at. I use Plastic bags and we use them again as trash liners.

Publix just opened in south Asheville, it's 17 miles one way from us but since I am down in Asheville every two weeks we just continue to Publix. I have missed shopping at Publix since we moved here. I had been shopping at Publix for 20 years. Hoping that one will open a little closer to Weaverville. An employee told me there is one opening up in Hendersonville.

Hugs

No Publix around here. :( Love your new header!!

I like the look of the recumbent bike but I don't think I would feel comfortable pedalling one. I think I'd prefer to sit more upright.

I shopped at a Publix when we lived in Georgia, now shop with HEB in Texas. Both great stores.

We don't have a Publix here. Too bad because I hear a lot of good things about them.

Your fence picture is really nice. I like to ride a recumbent bike. It is so easy on the back.

I do use those reusable bags. But I use plastic ones also. I use those plastic bags over and over until they just fall apart. I get a lot of use out of them.

We shopped at a Publix when we were in Englewood. I was impressed with how nice and well stocked it was.

Just went on our bi-weekly Big Shop to Walmart and Costco when we get most of our groceries to fill up the pantry and fridge. Have't used the reusable bags because they feel like germ harbors ;) When we lived on Maui they made plastic bags illegal, but they still had paper bags. We just seem to need those bags for trashcan liners at home. Trusting they're at least making the plastic bags biodegradable now!

Cool view of things even I know: 1) Publix, 2) Catrike Recumbent (made in FL) and 3) a set of very nice, crisp photos (by you)!
Have a Beautiful Day!
Peace :)

I don't use reusable bags, but I do use the plastic bags I get. But have thought about some reusable ones for Walmart at least.

Forgot to say I would love to have one of those recumbent bikes....

We have to carry reuseable bags - plastic bags are illegal in Bellingham. It was funny to watch people learning to carry the bags. They would have to bring their groceries out in the shopping cart and transfer them to their car - or to their bags if they had forgotten to bring them into the store. Now everyone automatically carries them. We have used them for years - long before the law went into affect 2 years ago.

Your fence photo is fabulous!!! What a pretty place to take a walk.
