Let’s go shopping with Noel!

It’s been such fun making doll clothes this summer!

This week I made a cute dress and beret for Noel.

I received a sweet gift from a friend in this cute bag and I decided to be creative. Thanks D!

I took it apart first.

Then designed a ‘doll size’ shopping bag. I took a sheet of printer paper (to make a pattern),

a ruler, scissors and double stick tape to create a small shopping bag.

A piece was left over so I folded it and made a flat bag for all the flat items she might buy on her shopping trip! teehee!

JoAnn and I are continuing our summer sewing challenge. She sent me this fabric and we both made something with it this week. Her blog is HERE.

And visit Shelia at Note Songs. She is making doll clothes this summer too!

Oh, Diane! I love this little outfit. Isn't that the same little dress I made for Marion a little while back! Love the beret too. Oh, you're just too smart - look at the little shopping bag! :) I've added you to my post!
Be a sweetie,

Oh I think this is our best week yet - and we both made outfits for trips - you for a shopping trip and me for a trip to England to visit the Queen. I love the dress and beret - and the little shopping bags are just too cute.

Each time I visit your blog....It brings back so many wonderful memories for me. When I was little...my mom always made doll clothes for my sister and I. Those were special times.

You girls are sure having fun this summer with your dollies! LOVE it! I have an 18" hard body Ann Estelle. They really are cute and bring back our childhood, for sure. Your outfits are adorable. I enjoy looking at ebay at the doll clothes that gals make. So much fun!

These outfits are so precious and the fabric you choose is always so pretty.
I too have fond memories of Momma making outfits for my dolls. She was a great seamstress just like you!

Just precious, Diane! I burned out on making doll clothes when my 4 daughters were young. Totally..but I love looking at other people's creations. Now? I buy mine. The "mini" shopping bag is perfect with her outfit. Neat idea, Diane.
Love,
Mona

Diane, Noel looks lovely for her shopping trip. You never know who you will meet when you are out shopping so it is a good idea to always look your best, Noel definitely looks like she is at her best in this darling outfit. The custom made shopping bags are a cute touch for the shopping trip too. My dollies that I bought off of Ebay arrived yesterday. I can't wait to start making them little matching outfits to wear. Have a wonderful weekend.... Candy
