Tuscawilla Park

Eileen at Viewing Nature with Eileen has done a few posts on the photos she took at this park when she visited Florida. So last Sunday we packed a picnic lunch and drove across town to spend the morning at this beautiful park. It’s over 34 acres and has a nice walking trail all the way around the large pond.

And birds? There are SO many varieties of birds right there in the park.

Look at these cute snowy egrets.

(one has mating plumage…oh my)

I was carrying my little Canon S100 point and shoot.

These of this American White Pelican are right out of the camera.

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE

So pretty!! And at last the temps here are becoming more moderate so being outside is not asking for heatstroke!

Most exotic; however, I will tell you that we do have egrets of some sort here and even pelicans. Yes, pelicans that populate the irrigation ponds and lakes here. They are quite common, a fresh water pelican. Have a great week end,Diane.

It's amazing the birds that are here in Florida, I marvel at them all the time. Even the common laughing gull...they make me laugh!

Glorious photos. You are lucky to have so many birds in a park near your home. I love the pelican shots - I do miss the pelicans of California. For some reason we have no pelicans up here - but 90 miles away in Seattle they do have them.
