Car Coats and Jumpers

I made these little ‘back to school’ clothes back in the summer.

Of course when you are a dollie, you can start school any time you want.

I had the idea for a lined jumper but wasn’t quite sure how to go about ‘designing’ it so I had to be ‘creative’.

Dollies are very patient when you need a model to work on your fashion designs.

And while my creative juices were flowing, I designed a book bag.

A headband and felt car coat completed her ensemble!

She looks so cute in her Fall outfit that she has decided to wear if for Thanksgiving too.

Happy Wednesday Wee Ones!

Oh everything is so very sweet. I just adore the jumper - and of course the coat is a favorite - my dolls want more coats - felt is a great idea. And she will look so fashionable when she goes to Thanksgiving dinner. Good to see our little painter again - maybe she'll paint a turkey. Happy thanksgiving to all my friend.

I just enjoyed a long visit at JoAnn's and had to stop by here, too. You ladies are so clever and talented! The car coat is just wonderful. And, of course, the back-to-school jumper and book bag!

This outfit is so cute! I don't think I could do that in a million years. Especially the bag and coat. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

Diane, I love it all, but ESPECIALLY that beautiful coat! SO darling!! I just found out that Molly from American Girls has been discontinued. I missed my chance to get her. She was always my favorite. We did get Felicity and Addy for our daughter, but Molly had a special place in my heart because she had braids and glasses, as did our little daughter at the time.

Many blessings, friend. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

The girls look lovely in their Fall outfits. The jumper and that wonderful car coat look like they took a bit of work but they were worth every second of the time spent on creating them. Is there a pattern for the coat? I want to make winter coats for my dolls and the design for this coat is perfect. I adore the little painters apron, it would be very useful for preparing Thanksgiving pies I would think.

I will not be posting today but I do plan to do a Thanksgiving tablescape and want to include the dolly's in the festivities for a post. All of the children are in for their fathers memorial service this weekend. I have been scanning nearly sixty years of photographs to use at the service. Most of the old pictures need a bit of cropping and sharpening before they are printed (gotta love that PicMonkey.

Wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving
Hugs,
Candy

aahh, she is ready for school. Does anything say school like red plaid? She is just darling, and I've always loved plaid for the school days in Fall.

Happy Thanksgiving, my friend. Enjoy your turkey!

Oh my. Love the jumper. Did you make your own pattern? I am still working on the six dresses for Christmas. Little wonder that women love dressing these dolls. I ordered matching shoes for the dresses fro a web site called Silly Monkey. They have a very nice selection. I love this dolly's red tennies. So cute. And the spider in the last post. Amazing. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Snow here. 13 degrees.
