Fewer Photos ?

No, that's not a New Year's resolution or goal.

But when we spend a day at the ocean, we don't take the camera to the beach.

But hubby pulled out his phone and took these from the boardwalk.

It was in the mid 60s with some wind yesterday, so it was a cool blustery day. But a day at the beach is always a great day!

I cheated and walked back and got our old Nikon 300 out of the car for this one. (no editing on any of these, it really was that beautiful!)

Our day was spent at Canaveral National Seashore.

Do you use your phone to take pics?

I just recently got an iPhone so taking photos with it is not something I am used too. I do realize I enjoy the world a little better when I am actually looking at it with out the camera!

Diane, I know that on 60 degree days with wind off the ocean...that is brisk....and chilly. I am so glad that you and your husband enjoy your hikes and walks together. it's a wonderful shared time being out in nature. You'll both be healthier for it. Blessings to you both, xoxo,Susie

Hi Miss Lavender Dreams,

Tis a mild morning (19*) compared to yesterday at 13*. Bee-u-tee-ful pictures. I asked Mom if she missed living close to the water and she said no. Wow, ever since she was a little girl she loved seeing the ocean. She says she'll take a good, rip, roarin' snowstorm over a day at the beach. Well, I guess we know what her opinion is! Yikes. Maybe she just needs another cup of coffee, or NOT!

Oh, the camera question - no she takes the camera - she has a little digital for the car.

I don't use my phone to take pics because I don't have a cell phone! LOL! I've tried using my landline but it won't do it...Ha! Ha! Yes, who isn't mesmerized by the ocean?

I'm with Sam-- no cell phone! My hubby uses his for pics, however. Love your photos!

Oh, I would love to experience that first hand. What beautiful beaches and sky! I do take photos with my phone, but don't like them nearly as much. The bison on my blog today was taken with my phone because my camera was at home. My phone photos lack the definition I get with my real camera. Hope you have many wonderful adventures in 2016. xo

Oh yes, a day at the beach is always a good day {{smiles}} I grew up on Lake Huron in Canada and I must say that even now I miss the water and sand.

Your pictures look lovely and I am amazed that your husband's phone took them. I must confess that I don't use my phone because I don't have one...shocking, I know :)

It's so good to visit you, sweet friend. Love and hugs!

Beautiful pics!

I take nearly all my pictures with my phone now, even though I have a lovely Canon camera - it's easy to carry and the pictures are always great!

Love the shadow photo. I don't use my phone as much as I should. I've also got a camera and video on the iPad but don't think to take that out with me. Such a lovely day on the beach, I'm envious.

The ocean is so beautiful. I got a chance to see it when I went to Jess' house for Thanksgiving. These pics that were taken on your husband's phone are very nice. And the last one with your shadows is cool.

Dear Diane
They're all wonderful shots and make me want to jump in the car and visit our waterfront!
How's that for inspiration?!
Your last photo of the shadows is a beauty.
Thank you for your kind words and I wish you all good things in the year ahead my dear Florida friend!

Diane, the ocean is such a lovely color. Almost a bluish turquoise!

Lovely photos - and what a grand day at the beach. That temperature would be summer for us. Love the shadow shot - so clever.

I rarely use my phone for photos - I haven't taken the time to learn to use it properly but my son tells me it takes fantastic pictures. I always take my camera - even to the beach - usually at least two cameras. The worst time I had at a beach was at a lake in the middle of Washington - it was a clear sunny day but the wind was blowing so hard we could almost not stand up. The wind began whipping the sand up off the beach - so back to the car to protect the camera from sand - but first I did get a couple great photos. There is something about the light on a bright, windy day. Enjoy your week my friend.

What a gorgeous blue ocean! I occasionally take photos with my phone, but rarely keep them. Still, it's handy to have it when I don't have my camera with me. Walking on the beach is such a great thing to do!

Gorgeous photos, Diane. I can almost imagine that I'm there...wish I were as it's getting chilly here. I haven't mastered my iPhone6 yet as far as getting good photos. Part of it is that I can't seem to hold it still enough. Take care!

Nice photo's, Diane, and yes any day at the beach is a good day! :)

I have been using my phone the past year or so instead of the camera.

Been windy here also in NE FL - I think winter has arrived. :)
