White Elephant Sale

I love a big community sale. You never know what you'll find!

I walked over to the White Elephant sale last weekend that takes place in the Palm Grove Auditorium. And I found some goodies.

One of my favorite finds was this wonderful Dinnertime Cookbook by Ree Drummond. I LOVE her Pioneer Woman series on TV, don't you? She is a sweet lady with a fun blog!

I also got a beautiful big piece of coral to put with my mermaid.

The other items are movies, wooden boats, a cream pitcher(for 50 cents!) and some old beaded button covers that look like a craft project to me!

Have you been to a big sale like this lately?

Any ideas for the button covers?

I’m joining Beautiful Sunday and
Lavender Cottage for Mosaic Monday.

These big sales are lots of fun but I try to not bring very much home because I worry about where I'm going to put it. lol

Oh, I can't wait to see what you do with those button covers. How about on a cardigan? At our last house I put some on my curtains. :)

Love the mermaid and the coral you found to keep her company! :)

Haha Diane, here I am in purge mode for our house (when we get back) but I would never pass up a community sale like this because I love to find special little trinkets. And, this is how all the stuff came to be in the first place. The problem is the basement - one can keep a lot of stuff down there!
Did you have a nice Valentine's Day?

Wow, you really scored! I wonder who decided to stop cooking ... I would never sell my cookbooks (although I rely more and more on the Internet instead).

Oh I know about 5 people who would have fought you for the Pioneer Woman cookbook! LOL! I love sales like this too. I live in nowheresville - not to many sales...so, that would have been FUN! My parent's would have fought ya for the mermaid!

Love puttering around in these kind of sales, but like Judith, am trying not to bring too much stuff into the house. Hard to resist though. I've seen buttons placed in a heart pattern and framed; those would look nice like that if there's enough. Probably thinking of hearts because of Valentine's Day!

Oh boy, did you score! Love those buttons. The problem I have is actually using buttons as pretty as those, so I have a box full, lol.
Love the little pitcher too...can't have too many cream pitchers.

It is really fun to go to these kinds of events, but while I love them, I am trying to get rid of things these days, to make these older years a little bit easier on me for cleaning and such. I still have too much and dust sure makes it's way back quickly. Hope you have a great week~

I would love to go to a sale like that. Things are sparse around here this time of year. I'm bored!

The button covers would look cute on one of the dolly dresses you make.

First- before I forget - I love your header - it looks like lace in the sky. Your finds are fabulous - that little pitcher is just precious. I don't have any ideas for the pretty buttons - but I would have picked them too if I ever saw any - I'm fascinated with buttons. Hope your week is a fabulous one dear friend.

What great items you find! I love everything you chose but it's a good thing I don't live there as I would be dragging too many of those good deals home with me and as you know, I am TRYING to downsize! LOL!

Lots of goodies you found at the White Elephant Sale. I've watched The Pioneer Woman sometimes on tv when she shares some of her dishes. Yes, I like her a lot.
