April's Pink Moon

Did you stand outside and look at the full moon last night? If you didn't, it will still be beautiful tonight.

The Farmer's Almanac HERE says that it's the smallest full moon of the year, as the Earth and the Moon move to the furthest points from each other. They even have a live cam that you can watch.

Well, hubby and I both took photos but he has the winning photo again this month.

Let's look a little closer....

and then a cropped portion.

When you zoom in, you can see that he actually caught a airplane flying across the face of the moon.

We didn't see it until we put the photos on the computer and looked at them together!

AMAZING!!!

I heard about the pink moon, but it was too cloudy here. Neat pictures! And, yes, it's funny how sometimes you don't see something in a photo until it's uploaded.

How pretty! I worked in the yard all day yesterday so I was pooped last night and didn't go out. I did notice how much light was in my house though. Your pictures are amazing!

WOW - those are GREAT pics!!!!

I love the full moons - even though people act all "looney!" When I used to be a manager I was very aware of the lunar calendars and how I had to arrange scheduling certain peeps, etc.

We have certainly been enjoying it up here! The path it makes across the water is a perfect silver one.

Diane, You and your husband are getting very , very good at taking photos. Loved these. That was the "pink moon", last night. I did not get to see it. We had storms. Blessings for a great weekend, xoxo, Susie

I'm glad you got photos because I didn't see the moon last night. It could be that we had a cloud cover since we're expecting rain today. Really Amazing!

Wow - that is amazing. I just love surprises like that. I am so far behind in reading blogs that I shall never get caught up - but the weather has turned chilly - high of 51 - and so maybe I'll have some time. Happy weekend ahead my dear friend.

Love that airplane capture. And, yes, I did see the moon with thin clouds streaking past. Thosught of grabbing the camera, but didn't.

Is he showing off again?! That is a fabulous shot...at first, I thought it was a bird. LOL My sense of perspective is seriously compromised. I will look for that little pink moon tonight.

The moon looks so lovely! I hope you have a nice weekend. :)

We had clouds, sigh. The jet gives the moon the appearance of winking.

When I first took a look at your husband's picture I said, "Is that an airplane?" Sure enough. That's a really great shot.
