Pizza for Papa!

We had a really fun Father’s Day. We packed a picnic lunch, some snacks and lots of water and drove to parts unknown. Well…unknown to us!

And at the end of the day, we stopped in Dunnellon at The Pizza Joint for a ‘pizza to go’! (I found their Facebook page HERE)

We had read about this place on the internet and couldn’t wait to try it.

Wood fired pizza! OH MY!

They are incredible and will make it hard to eat an ordinary pizza again!

Luckily, they are not too far from where we live and a beautiful drive to get there.

So I’m sure we’ll be back! (ours is going in..half veggie and half meat lovers for Papa)

peppers growing in a pot by the door

It’s a good thing we took a photo of it in the back of the car because when we got home, all ‘picture taking’ was forgotten! There’s nothing like driving home with the wonderful smell of a pizza in the car to make your mouth water!

So it was the perfect ending to a perfect day.

Have you ever eaten a wood fired pizza?

That pizza looks so tasty Diane. With my papa (Teddy) it would have to have been 3/4 meat lovers. LOL. You are right. We brought home a warm pizza for the Hut last week and it smell great. Most times I do not like to smell food in our cars..I know I nuts. Glad you had a fun day with your man. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

The wood fired pizza makes my mouth water. The picture of the pizza on the fire background is great! So is the one with the pot of peppers.

Don has eaten wood fired pizza - I have not. He didn't like it - but then he's a bit picky. Your day sounds perfect. See you tomorrow my dear.

Hello, I love pizza, my favorite food. Veggie is one of my top choices too. It looks delicious. The wood fired pizza is yummy, we have a favorite wood-fire restaurant nearby too.

Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day and week ahead!

Oh my! That is one delicious looking pizza and I'm so glad your experience was a good one. So many times around here, we go to check out a new to us restaurant and are disappointed. Don't tell anyone, but we do not like New York pizza! It's just different than Texas pizza! ;)
Thanks for popping in to see me and hope all is well.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
