A Wee Bit of Decorating!

One thing leads to another.

DSCN2115

I actually have a small fan that sits here on my nightstand but hubby had it in the garage to clean and oil it.

So I took the red roses out of this vase and put a combination of roses that I think looks softer and prettier.

I  love to surround myself with beautiful things..

a pretty lamp, stack of old books (mostly poetry), seashells, an angel and dried rose petals.

Just a little change can make all the difference, don’t you think?

It’s Florida…make a spot for the fan! heehee!

(and now that I’ve looked at my photos, I wonder if I should go to the craft store and buy ‘new’ flowers for this vase…maybe a flower with smaller blooms. Hhhhhhmmmm!)

I’m joining Katherine’s Corner for Favorite things HERE!

I definitely think having pretty things around makes me happy. At this point in life, (Meno) the fan is an absolute necessity! :)

Waking up to pretty things, too, does help to get the day off to a nice start--and so does blog reading. Have a wonderful week.

Pretty things - pretty dreams, though a fan would be a useful thing on a Florida night!

I think you did a beautiful job decorating your table. You have all the important things in my eyes. You have a lamp, books to read for a nice evening and flowers to make the table look warm and inviting.

I agree with being surrounded by beautiful things and I think you have done a great job of that on your nightstand. It's especially important to see beauty when one first wakes up. Also important to feel the cooling breezes of a fan on a hot summer night.
I'm curious to know what kind of shells are those that look a bit like a heart? I've never seen them before. How pretty!
