Let’s Walk at Shalom Park

It’s been too hot to hike this summer but I’ve walked several times a week.

Usually I just walk around the neighborhood in the evenings but it’s nice to drive over to Shalom Park sometimes too.

And no, we can’t stay in the shade and take photos the whole time we’re here.

And we probably shouldn’t jump in the pond either, although it looks inviting.

No we have to walk as fast as we can.

And stop every time we see a fence! haha

Try to keep up!

Walk…

take a fence pic!

BECAUSE…

We’re joining Tex for Good Fences!

I need a bumper sticker that says,

‘We Stop for Good Fences’

(what do you say, Tex?)

What a good walk Diane. It was a hot one here also seems we are in upper 80's all week with high humidity.
I hope you find a abalone shell to decorate. It's really fun.Buy 2 if you find some because you will want to do another one. Thanks for your nice comment on my abalone shells

I would be going back and forth through the shady parts! You're a very good girl to walk in FL in August!

Hello Diane!:) What a lovely park, and a great set of fences. The fountain is pretty, and I love the path with the attractive pattern.
Fences are fun finds, I look for them everywhere, and even see them in my dreams,...honestly!!:))Hugs!:)

I'd like to jump in the pond too. Lovely photos - what a sweet park. Love the new header too - this time I remembered to comment on it before it was gone. Happy weekend ahead my dear.

I t has been very hot here, too, but it is cooling down nicely. I have been walking early in the morning before it gets so hot. And as I age, I seem to be betting less heat tolerant. Have a fun weekend.

Good for you! I've been working on organizing and going up and down the basement stairs so that was my exercise this week! LOL! Lovely park!

What a lovely park, Diane! You can almost forget the heat when you see that pretty fountain. A smaller version of Buckingham Fountain here in Chicago but beautiful nonetheless!

Thanks for your visit today. Isn't Asheville great? We've had a condo there for the past 4 years. It's part of a 'Premier Hotel', and although we own our unit, it's booked to guests throughout the year so it's a great retirement investment. My husband wants to go back in a few weeks. We love seeing the leaves turn. It would be great to get together. Stay in touch!

Beautiful photos :-) I take me dog for a walk at 6 in the morning to avoid the heat. I wish I had a lovely park like that to walk about!

That's a great park and fences :) It will nice to be able to take longer walks in cooler weather won't it? So looking forward to going on a hike again.

I noticed your Header picture with the pink flowers. It's so pretty, and so is the park that you visited. Parks are one of my favorite places to go to think, pray, and listen to nature.
