Walking the Fence Line at Shalom Park

I love to walk at Shalom Park and go pretty often.

shalomIMG_1637

And I always go all the way to the back of the property to ‘walk the fence line’.  It’s like getting off the beaten path for me.

No matter how many times I go, I see things I’ve never seen before.

Like a place to get water. I think this might be for ‘emergency water’ because what appeared to be a drip turned out to be a tiny spider. So if you ran the water, you would disturb his home! haha!

But I’m like most people..I carry a bottle of water with me everywhere I go.

Here’s to summer time ‘walking the fenceline’.

I'm joining Tex for Good Fences!

Hello, it looks like a beautiful park and place for a walk.
I would not want to disturb that spider. Great fence shots.

Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!

Diane, Was it the itsy bitsy spider? :) That park is so pretty, maybe they use a watering hose there at times. I see on the weather map that storms are stirring around Florida...be safe always. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

I enjoy 'walking the fenceline' when I can.... One time, here in TN, we walked the fenceline around a pasture ----but instead of enjoying the beauty around us, we had to be careful NOT to step in the cow pies (poop).... ha ha

Hugs,
Betsy

It's warm here again 93 yesterday and 91 today with 97% humidity. I need to mow but not sure I want to go out in that heat.....or rather humidity. It is usually cooler in the shade where you walked...sometimes 10-20 degrees. Unfortunately, most of my yard is in the sun and I have to wait until afternoon because the grass is too wet in the morning. Stay cool and yes....hydrated! LOL!

It is just too hot for me to walk the fence line these days. Can't take the heat like when I was younger. Your walk made me feel good. Thanks for sharing.

You have a lovely place to walk, it looks so lush and green. California is rather brown in August. The weather here is wonderful though, about 70 and not humid so I have no excuse not to walk.

Enjoyed your walk through the park. Our weather is starting to get cooler so that we can enjoy a walk but not when it is over 100.

Hello Diane!:) How lovely it must be to walk in that shady path on a hot day. Beautiful pictures of the fence line, and the taps must be for hosing. We have them in various places on the farm. They do make nice little hidey holes for spiders.:)

That made me smile about the spider in the tap. Takes me back to when we went camping and my husband made a lovely cup of tea. When I was cleaning out the teapot there were earwigs in it, looking in the kettle even more cooked earwigs!!! Yuk but it had tasted lovely!
Have a wonderful weekend :)

What a pretty place to walk.
The waterspot & spider made me start singing the Itsy Bitsy Spider song!

I've walked quite a few fence lines in my day and always love to carry my camera with me. You never know what you will find.

I can see why you like to go there. Very pretty. I wonder how often that spider does get disrupted.
