We interrupt the regularly scheduled programing (or posts)…

to bring you a Public Service Announcement!

It’s always nice to have a good experience when you’ve dreaded something and even procrastinated getting it done.

I drive a nice car but it’s not new. It is close to 14 years old but I still love it.

(this is an old photo taken at Sholom Park)

I knew it needed a complete set of new tires and some general maintainance. I wasn’t sure how long they would need to keep it or how much it would cost. So I waited.

And then! It was finally TIME! Past Time! So we scheduled all the work to be done!

So how did it go?

I feel like I’m driving a brand new car! It’s even perfectly clean inside and out for a change!

A BIG thank you to the Ocala BMW service department! You really came through for me. I think I’ll drive this one a little while longer but it was fun looking around the showroom at all the ‘new models’.

How do you like this color?

It would be hard to find one I like better than mine though. So thanks for taking such good care of it this week! I started to say…See you soon. But truthfully, I hope not! heehee!

PS I did a review on them a couple of years ago HERE. Winking smile

PPS They didn’t need to keep it long and I thought the cost was reasonable. Surprised smile

I’m joining Katherine’s Corner for Favorite things HERE this week too.

Hello, it is great to have a car mechanic you can trust.

I plan on keeping my latest car till it dies, I hope that is a long time. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!

Daughter 1 had a lovely BMW but she drove it to death. I had a wonderful 1987 Mercedes that I adored until the husband worked on it. Now, it's not so nice. So, I am facing the dreaded purchase of a new vehicle. I've been putting it off. Cars are so dang expensive these days. I hope to find a nice used one somewhere. :) Glad yours is still going strong!

Cars that run well are a joy to own and drive. We won't say anything about the cars that don't run well. Glad you've found such a great mechanic shop.

Such a great feeling to get your car serviced and clean. I am still driving my 1998 Mercedes. It has been a great car. Having a good mechanic is awesome.

Things like this make me nervous so I'm glad it all went so well for you and you feel so happy in your 'new' old car!
Enjoy the drive!

Your car looks gorgeous, all spic and span. I like my 8 year old Ford Focus. In fact when my husband needed a car, he also bought a Ford Focus, which is 6 years old now.

Your little Beemer is so cute, I don't blame you for wanting to keep it. I drive a Jeep Liberty that is 12 years old and I still love it! Getting good service really means a lot, doesn't it?

Diane, I know exactly how you feel. I like my jeep's size and I park it well... But I think I am about ready for a new vehicle. I just hate having to chose and all the new power devices. I like the older models. You car looks pretty good to me. I do not drive as much as I did when I worked. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

So glad you had such a good experience getting your car fixed. Those things can go either way. Your car is so cute. I have a 2009 Ford Focus that I love and I plan to keep as long as possible. I reluctantly give up my cars when it just gets too expensive to fix anymore.

Hi Diane, It's hard to believe your car is that old! It looks brand new! That's what I love about a classic car.....My Ford Ranger 4x4 is 11 years old (only 12,ooo miles!). They are not made anymore, so it is classic, too, although in a different league. Haha! Living on a dirt mountain road necessitates this :) Love your new blog header, by the way. Hope you have a great day! hugs xo Karen

Isn't it a pleasant surprise when they do the job, quickly and at the price they quoted? Doesn't seem to happen a lot any more in any situation. I am very impressed with Toyota and their service.

Have a wonderful Wednesday.

What a nice experience. Our car is not so old - but it is a wonderful car - KIA Optima - and we love the way it drives. It is going in for its big warranty checkup this week - it always comes back so sparkly and clean. Best of all - it is paid for and that always seems to make a car (and driver) happier. Happy driving my friend.

Love your post, you are so much fun. You've put a smile on my face. I just sat down here for a quick break from the 'picking up' for company, oh the curse of clutter & the blessings of it too. Having an abundance of everything! Thanks too for the comment you left at my (lonely) blog. That was so nice of you.....hugs, Maggie Hope your day is extra nice!

Your car looks great! Mine, being a New England car, is looking its age. Nothing that a car wash and a new set of tires might not be able to help, though. Glad that you had a good experience. That does not often happen these days.

My husband is driving a Toyota Sequoia with 400,000 miles on it. It runs like a top- has no rust and looks like a new car. We have never had to do any BIG maintenance on it-the usual- brakes twice and an exhaust pipe.

I used to have a BMW and LOVED it! I drove it several years until I had too many grandkids to fit into it. lol

Hope you have a great night and more good years of safe driving- xo Diana
