Get Outside! Just not TODAY!

I had written this post and had it scheduled so I’m going to let it run! Of course we won’t be getting outside today. I just hope Hurricane Matthew doesn’t do any damage here and we keep our power.

We’ve done everything we can think of to be ready so I’ll hopefully be online today and tomorrow. If not, I’ll update you when I can. For everyone effected by this storm, Stay Safe! You are in my prayers.

Now to the regularly scheduled program…

I love to stay home but sometimes you just have to get OUT!

And here in Florida, you can be sure of seeing something neat every time you drive down the road.

This Little Blue Heron was near our house one day and I pulled my car over and got a photo.

Then when I got to the library, I saw what looked like a small piece of rubber (like something off a bicycle tire) on the sidewalk.

It was the cutest little tree frog.

fDSCN2352

He was so dark that he looked shiny and very tiny…maybe 2 or 3 inches long.

‘Ribbett’

I get the biggest kick out of seeing something out of the ordinary! Don’t you?

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE

and I’d Rather B Birdin’.

I hope you are safe today, Diane. My thoughts are with you.
We had our first experience with tree frogs this summer when one decided to take up residence in the tree outside our bedroom window. He was a noisy little fellow. We finally had to relocate him :).

Hi Diane, I too am watching the news with concern. I do hope and pray God will direct the storms away from America, and that you will be safe.

That little tree frog is so cute! Ii wish I could get out more but my health leaves me tire very quickly and walking is harder. sending you a hug, be safe dear friend.

I think your little frog posed for the picture. We are on the west side of Florida, but still bracing for rain and wind. Take care!

Glad to hear you've battened down the hatches and are staying indoors. Be safe and I hope you come through unscathed.

Love the photos today. That little frog looks like he's ready for a chat with his feet resting on top of each other and that inquisitive look. What a cutie ;)

Such interesting animals. 'Never knew that a doodle bug is a real creature. That tree frog almost appears to have been posing for the camera, lol.

Awwwwwwwww, love that little frog. Darling. That last photo of it just is too cute for words.

Little Blue Herons...they're here but I very seldom see them...this was a treat.

I'm late getting here to visit with you, it's been a most beautiful day here in South Texas I just HAD to be outdoors this morning - birding, of course. Thanks so much for sharing this post with us at I'd Rather B Birdin'!! Always appreciated. Have a great week ahead.

You do find the greatest creatures to photograph even when you're not looking! I'm catching up with you so I already know you are okay from Matthew...thank goodness!
