Let’s take a drive around the neighorhood!

Do you want to drive around and look at lights?

It has been so mild here this month that it seems like everyone has decorated more than usual.

We’ve had highs in the 70s and 80s this week.

Which even seems WARM for US!!!

But don’t the houses look festive!

And I always think of Vee when I see something like this. When we were getting to know each other, she told me she always imagined people in Florida had alligators wandering through their front yards! Of course…she’s RIGHT! hahaha!

(this is 3 houses down from us though and NOT in our yard! lol)

And now we’re back to the ‘lavender cottage’.

Don’t you love the big old fashioned bulbs?

Hubby did a little more this year too. (thanks hubby!)

And I love the wreaths on the lamps of our garage!

Have you decorated outside this year?

Do you like to drive around and look at lights?

Happy Holidays!

I put up a wreath and that is about it. However, I love seeing all the decorations. Marvin and I take a ride on Christmas Eve to see all the lights in the historic district. The home owners there put on quite a show.

It is all so festive! I did not decorate outside this year, because of the rental we are in. Most of my decorations are still packed away.

Diane, You and your hubby did a fine job decorating your house. The whole neighborhood looks so nice. I have to admit the Santa Gator made me laugh. Blessings for a fun day there. It's sunny here again today. Oh I am loving it. xoxo, Susie

Hi Diane, We love to take a drive and see the Christmas lights too. Everything around your area looks festive and ready to celebrate. Your home is decorated so pretty and I love the big bulbs too. We are seeing them more and I think they are on a huge comeback. Love the yard gator!!
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and many blessings in the new year.
Hugs and joy!!

Beautiful, I love your decorations - and yes we drive around our little neighborhood, and yes we decorate the front of the house, we laugh and say it's for the bunnies and other wildlife since our house faces into a hill, but that's how it is in these mountains, and we love it.

Merry Christmas dear friend.

We put lights along the front of our property. With the picket fence it is easy, we just go along stringing them in and out of the top pickets. Easy to put up and easy to take down :) I enjoy driving around looking at the lights, too. I love how you put the wreath around the lamp on the garage . . . very pretty. Merry Christmas!

I love driving around looking at all the lights.
Your house looks so very nice and festive.
We put a blue string of those icicle lights on the front porch and red lights in the windows.
Christmas tree is in the front window which you can see from the street.

Lovely lights in your neighbourhood. I love taking a drive each year to look at the light displays. We don't put up outdoor lights, but I do have a single candle in each windiow with white bulbs, and our tree in the living room window has the tiny white mini lights. I must try taking some night photos this year. We have a good amount of snow, so it'll be a white Christmas here, for sure.

I've loved riding around at night during December to look at Christmas lights since I was a little girl. These are all so pretty. I think we're the only ones in our neighborhood here who haven't decorated. I think I should put a sign out saying, Sorry, we're moving!

Diane, I so enjoyed the scenic drive through the holiday streets. I do love the old fashioned lights best.

Things have finally settled down here and I'm blogging at with Twigs and Branches again. It's my crafty blog and I've been busy! :-)

Oh, how fun!

Our neighborhood has a few houses with lights, like us, but no one has gone all out for years.

Happy Christmas.

Thank you! Those lights are beautiful! It's starting to warm up here so I may still get some out there but so far it's been slim pickins' as it got really cold and windy here and about 40 degrees colder than normal (20's with 5 at night!) but Christmas Day will be 65 and rainy. I do have inside lights though. I still have pumpkins on my porch! LOL!

Hello Santa and Mrs. Claus, you look so jolly! There is a neighborhood in my town that has houses all lit up with Christmas decorations; they're all decked out! I love driving through there and gazing at all the beauty.

I haven't been well enough to get outside to see the decorations however our neighbor has decorated his house so brightly that it will give us all a pass this year. Ha! Ha!

I like the big bulbs on your house. Your hubby has done a really great job with his decorating. Alan put green and blue lights on our bushes. It is too cold to take a picture this time.
