Cutesy? Quirky? OR…downright SCARY? Let’s take a poll! UPDATED!!!

I miss taking polls! It seems like when I first started blogging a lot of the blogs had polls. Usually it was about decorating or trying to discover what interested us most.

But how about this? At the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens, we saw several gazing balls! And I really fell in love with them! And when I realized our reflection was in the ball, I thought it might make a cute button for my sidebar.

DianeRballIMG_6910

So I cropped it and resized it and it looked pretty good. But then I put text on it,

Step through the Looking Glass, Walk with us!

DRBallText2IMG_6910

Does it look like we are asking you to walk into the Enchanted Forest or some place dark and scary?

So what do you think?

In the comments you can ‘give me a clue’.

A. It’s Cutesy

B. It’s Quirky

C. It’s Scary

D. You could care less about what I put in my sidebar and think I should spend more time walking than staring into gazing balls. Rolling on the floor laughing

UPDATE : So HERE we go! Since I can’t stare into the gazing ball today, I’m working on the button for my sidebar! Thanks for ALL of the cutesy comments!

I liked Sam’s very first comment, “D lol Just kidding.”

But was that the most honest answer or was it Judith’s, “E, It’s Brilliant!”

And then Karen Ann said a softer border might look better! So that’s what I did. Oh and I added stars to the sky…less scary, don’t you think?

This was FUN! Now maybe I should do some REAL work today! (or pack my bag to go to the beach) Island with a palm tree

Sun Enjoy your day! Sun

Hope it’s cutesy or quirky (and never scary) !

D)....lol! Just kidding.....I love the wider view of the garden you get from that picture. Also, how they created the holder for that gazing ball. I remember as a child they were popular and now they're back....they've come full circle which means I am old! LOL!

I love it, so cutesy!! Hugs!

I like it! Personally I would put a softer border around the image so it doesn't look so dark - but that's just my little opinion. I do like it.

I don't recall taking polls early on but think having one is a good conversation starter.
And, for my vote sis it would have to be E. It's Brilliant!
This would be a great photo put at the start of posts that take us on a journey with you to see gardens and wildlife refuges or any other hikes you two take. Wow, a year older and more innovative. Hope this happens to me when I celebrate my BD next month. lol
Hugs,

Definitely Cutesy...Our neighbor has several gazing balls in her yard. I'm thinking I may just need one for mine.

I like it! A lot!

Cute - but I prefer more of the greenery. Great idea as always Diane.

I love it...cute for sure.

For me it falls under the cutesy category, Diane. I love gazing balls. I do need to buy a new one as our's somehow built up too much moisture inside, so there's no more gazing involved. The iron pedestal is a great way it's displayed at the botanical garden. ♥

A/B It's unique and interesting!

I think it's A and B. I like Judith's idea of using it to open a post about some of your hikes. Gazing balls are fun and I remember only the 'privileged' had them when I was growing up. And maybe at today's prices only the privileged can afford them! Hahaha I'd love to have one but I'd worry about our awful wind we have here or deer nudging them from their base. I guess they are best in city or enclosed gardens.

LOL- Like it's "owner"--a little cutesy....a little quirky....but not a whole lotta scary---of course I haven't seen you at night with the lights off after you take your teeth out and your wig off....I like that you have worked your passion for walking into there....Hmmm....now maybe one with your walking AWAY from us beckoning us to follow? xo Diana

You have been busy while I was gone! I like the gazing ball in your side bar. You fixed it up so nicely. Very cute!

I see I'm too late for the poll but I like the stars you put on it on your sidebar.
I would have voted A and B.

I missed this post (missed a lot of things lately!), but I would vote "love it" if there was such a selection. I like that you are trapped in a void or something, but it's nice that your husband is trapped with you (that IS your husband isn't it?!). You also have very cute knees ... or are those your ankles? ... not sure, and maybe, just maybe the gazing ball has distorted your proportions a bit? I'm wondering if I missed something more here. So I have to ask is this a new meme you are working on? Sharing a walk with you and your readers? Sounds like fun.

Yes, I like "walk with us".....the other one was a bit too many words for a single ball. I definitely think it looks better cropped and close up. I like the white font better than the black. And I think the words "walk with us" is just right, as you go on so many wonderful hikes.
