Thankful for Roses

Even though it's been hot and dry, our 'knock out' roses are blooming like crazy.

And now I have more! Hubby invented this handy dandy cart to carry plants, tools and mulch from the front of the house to wherever he is working. Isn't it great? We have thick grass and it is easy for him to pull.

And he is feeling really good now. Thanks again for all of the prayers. He has decreased his medication and 'so far so good'!

He planted more roses in the back along the wall that is our lanai.

We have roses on the side of the lanai and the courtyard is on the other side.

(back of the lavender cottage, with lanai on the right of pic)

So I'm thankful for roses and my sweet hubby this week.

What are you thankful for?

I’m joining Thankful Thursdays.

Diane, your roses are stunning and they add so much to your already beautiful home! It's so good to hear that your hubby is doing so well! And what a smart cookie he is for putting together this little invention! Have a fabulous Memorial Day weekend! Hugs!

My roses are blooming too--the garden smells heavenly! Your roses are gorgeous, Sis XOXO

Your roses are so pretty. Knock outs are such great performers without all the pampering that is necessary with tea roses. Gotta love that.
How wonderful that your hubby is feeling good. That is great news. His little invention is very clever. I'm all for anything that makes the job easier.
Your lavender cottage looks so well tended and loved.
I am thankful for many things, but at the moment it is the sun peeking out after several days of downpours.

Diane, Squeeze your sweet husband for all of us. We all appreciate a good working man. Your hubby was clever making that easy pull garden cart. Wow, I am loving your roses. I saw two buds on the rose bush I keep for my daughter. So maybe soon I'll have some roses. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

I hope to see a rosebud soon! And today I'm thankful that the plans I was dreading this weekend were canceled and that my bathroom shower may well be finished before the weekend, too!

I'm thankful for roses too. I see them almost every day at the rose garden in all different colors. Your roses are so nice, and they look like a dark pink color. I'm happy that your husband is doing better and is able to garden again. : )

Enjoy the rest of the week.

love, ~Sheri

I am so thankful to hear your husband is feeling better. That's great news. I like his handy dandy tool carrier! Our knockouts are beautiful this year too, but now passing their prime for this showing, though they usually come back again a second time.

Love the roses. We have several here but the blooms are gone with the hard rains we had. I'm sure they will bloom again. Love your husbands 'wagon' and so happy he is doing well. Hugs to you Sis!

I'm so glad to hear your husband is feeling better. He must really enjoy gardening to plant all of those beauties for you and he to enjoy. His little pull "sled" is very clever! I'm thankful that I am able to walk now without knee pain. Enjoy your beautiful roses, Diane. ♥

Sending a big hurray that your husband is doing so well! Panting roses isn't the most relaxing thing to do. Those knockouts are amazing, I've grown them in the worst conditions and they just keep hanging on!!

That cart is brilliant! You need to get a patent on it! :)

Have a great holiday weekend!

What kind of grass do you have? Your landscaping is gorgeous...I have Bermuda Grass and it comes up everywhere and I thought I could landscape but really having problems with it and then poison ivy, oak, sumac...it's a mess and I hate to use chemicals but I have to. Do the Knockout Roses have scent? I have roses but they have no scent....what's up with that? LOL! So glad your husband is feeling better and what a great idea for toting his tools of the trade!

Love seeing your gorgeous Florida home... The lanai is fantastic.... When we lived in FL along the gulf coast one time (70's) --we were in a home similar to yours --with a lanai... We loved it --and almost lived on the lanai!!!!

We love our Roses also.. Your hubby does a great job with your yard.

Hugs,
Betsy

So glad he is feeling better, and better enough to plant roses. What a clever summer sled for moving things around the yard. Your roses are amazing - I wish those grew here - I'd have them lined up along the deck, just the place for the deer to wander through and have a munch. Hee hee Happy weekend my dear. I'm thankful for friends like you!!
