Too Busy? Too Bright?

I put the bold and bright comforter on the back of my sofa. (I spent less than $6 on it last week at the thrift store. See post HERE )

And then I put all the necessary things back in place. I sit in the center and put my computer on my lap when I blog. This is our lanai...or Florida room and it's bright and cheery. What do you think? Too bright and cheery? heehee!

Something to be thankful for today is this sweet young lady who is a new vendor at the Farmer's Market.

(taken with my phone, sorry about the shadows)

I've been using the Mint Julep soap all week and I love it! So fresh and nice! The lemon bar is wonderful too! So sweet and fragrant!

Isn't it cute the way she packages everything?

And 2 of the presents I got for Mother's day are blog inspired!
(the item at the bottom of the pic is something to color)

Helen Phillips is one of my best blog buddies and wrote Pretty Patchwork Gifts! Her blog is HERE. She designs and makes the most beautiful quilts and softies. All the pretty colors that I love! I'm so pleased to get one of her books!

Our sweet Stephanie mentioned these journals on her blog HERE and I found the Gratitude journal on sale at Amazon so it went in my wish list. Hubby was sweet to shop on my wish list this year. Thanks honey!

Lots to be thankful for this week! How about you?

I’m joining Thankful Thursdays.

I think the quilt adds to the coziness. I don't think everything has to be matchy-matchy, do you? You received some lovely gifts for Mother's Day! Enjoy the rest of your week, Diane :)

I like the idea of Thankful Thursdays and may join up later. I love the gratitude journal. I add gratitude to my journal entries when I make them, which seems to be less often now. Your sofa is very cheerful and that was a great find. The young lady is lovely and so are all your gifts.

I saw the Gratitude Journal on Stephanie's blog and really liked it because it's a coloring book also. You got some nice Mother's Day gifts, Diane. The soaps are delightful. I often wonder how our blog friends use their computers, and it sounds like you have a lap top. I'm writing to you on a desk computer; the only kind I know to use hehehe.

love, ~Sheri

I love handmade soap. That is all I use anymore. My fav is oatmeal! Right now I am using Rosemary soap that I purchased from my cousin. Next one I open will be the Oatmeal Apple Spice. I keep my sofa covered on the bottom half due to the dog. Short hair but he sure does shed.

Howdy there girlfriend!--yes, I do like it there and I do like the bright happy colors and I also now like pattern mixing, which is something we DID NOT DO back in the old days! ha ha LOL Not "they" say it's okay and I even mix patterns on clothes, so far so good! Yep, it's getting hot here too and expected to get hotter....the sultry summer is on it's way to us southern dwellers isnt' it? I liked the water scenes in your previous post too---the boat scens and the river just looks so mysterious in places. Yep, we have those gator signs all over there as well.....gotta respect those things! Used to I would've been terrified of something like that....now I go out in the swamps and photograph them!!---they are fascinating...and of course we keep our distance. Our youngest daughter has always loved the reptiles, even snakes and also turtles and gators etc. I really dont know where she gets that from! ha ha LOL not really me. What y'all got planned this weekend?

The soaps look so refreshing and clean. As they should. I have been so remise is commenting these past few weeks, so I had to go back over your recent posts. Florida looks hot and sunny. We have snow. Late May and snow. The mountains are receiving a lot of snow--by the feet. The snow here is coming melting quickly, but it is cold and if it freezes, I will lose my peonies. On a brighter note, the sun will be out tomorrow.

What a fun post! I can't believe you nabbed that quite throw for only six dollars! And the market soap lady looks like she makes a lovely product. I like mint -- such a clean, nice fragrance!

Hope you have a very happy weekend!

I think that it is the perfect colors for your lanai! I am amazed that anyone would want to get rid of it. The pillows in front of them are pretty also and go well. I have never heard of Julep soap. I will have to look for it. It is pouring rain here so I won't be out today! Happy Saturday to you!
