Gets along well with others

When I was in school, there was a grade given for 'gets along well with others'. Do you remember that? Do they still have something like that on report cards?

So the crows usually have full rein of the backyard bordering the golf course.

But this past week, 2 Ibis flew in and disrupted things a bit.

Who invited them?

Is he getting all the best bugs?

Don't get your feathers all ruffled!

 Hey, come back!!!

 Let's TALK!!! There's something I always wondered...

...so there were 2 trees there all along and you went through them!

 Who knew?

I guess we can all learn something from each other.

Not sure I can give them an A+ just yet though!

So it's hot in Florida but we can still have fun. It doesn't take much to entertain us!

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE

and I’d Rather B Birdin’.

Cute pictures! Can't we all just get along??? lol
I remember the "getting along" grade on report cards. Wishes for a delightful weekend.

Aren't they cute and I'm sure the crows were curious about their long beaks!
Have a wonderful weekend :)

My daughter used to belong to a little group called "Let's All Get Along Gang". I don't think they give grades out for that anymore which is kind of sad. I think it gives more free-rein to bullying.
Love all your pictures, Diane! It is fun to watch the interaction of birds and animals. xo Diana

I always scored well in getting along with others. Sometimes it is a trial but hey, that is what life is all about.:)

I do remember that on report cards. Looks like the Ibis and crows got along just fine.

Hello, I remember the getting along grade in school. I can not imagine why they would stop doing the grading, it does seem necessary. Cute post and captions, I love the Ibis. The crows can be so bossy. I enjoyed the photos.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

I don't think they have that on report cards nowadays. I do remember it being on my kid's cards- probably kindergarten and primary school. It's a shame too. It's also a shame what they are not teaching in other grades and in college. Sometimes I just shake my head and wonder.

I love how you paired a childhood memory with the ibis and the crows on the golf course, so funny! We often wonder if animals understand each other's languages too! So funny to see their interactions sometimes, and I love how you personalized it for us :)

I am not sure our report cards had that on them. Always fun to see creatures interacting. I put bread crumbs on a fence post in the morning. The little squirrel usually gets there first but the Stellar Jay (a large bird) chases him off,

Diane, I do not mind all that bug picking...if the starlings would leave the feeders alone. LOL. The ibis are so pretty. I remember citizenship grades. I wonder if anyone cares about that any more. I surely do hope it means something to parents. Blessings, xoxo, Susie.
p.s. we are having a low humidity day and I will enjoy it.

Love the Ibis photos!
I remember report cards had a grade for 'deportment' (does this kid know how to behave or is he the terror of first grade?)
Have a wonderful week-end!

I wished they graded Seniors that way--gets along well with others--before they can rent--but then I wonder if there would be many seniors living here if they did that!!!!!
Love the cute story--keep them coming--this senior needs all the humor she can get!!!
enjoy the moments, di

Fun post Diane. I kinda don't think the schools call it that anymore. 'Believe it is now called "meshing well", lol. I am still surprised that they no longer teach cursive (longhand) writing any longer. Times surely have changed. Prim blessings.

Hi Diane,
Enjoyed your pictures. After being absent for a year I am finally able to get back seeing my blogger friends posts.
It has been a rough time but I am thankful for my health. Look forward to checking in with your posts. Hugs.

The Ibis' are pretty. It looks like one is groomed and one has crazy hair haha. I do remember "gets along well with others," but it wasn't a grade at our school, it was more of a comment on the report card.

Try to stay cool from the heat, Diane.

I remember that as well. I also remember them taking it away as a teacher. I think it is something we will never bring back, but it would be a wise thing to teach.
The animals know that it works well. Loved the pictures.

Cute post with some thought-provoking question. Loved the black of the crows and the white of he ibis...all in life isn't just black or white. :-)

The song....Talk to the Animals, comes to mind. Yes, I remember the grade for citizenship on my report card. They gave "S's" or "U's."

It is a beautiful Sunday here in Ohio. It is not too hot yet, but it will heat up to 87 degrees.

Do you and your husband play golf? Maybe you said at some point and I missed it. Do you ever get a golf ball through your window? I would love to learn how to play golf but I think I am a little too old for that sport now.

May you have a blessed Sunday and stay cool!

Hello Diane!:) The Ibis are cool looking birds, and can dig down deeper than the crows, but no fight ensued, and they got along very well didn't they!:) The crows are smart, and figured out they were just passing through, ...maybe!! Very entertaining captions.

The Ibis are so interesting to watch!

NatureFootstep said...

lol, nice story :) Either the crows are very large of the ibis very small. Strange!

I love those birds......of course we don't have those kind here. But we do have a few push birds who do not do well with the others.

You have entertaining company! I miss those guys -- they never come around here in Oregon.

A friend used to have a T-Shirt with a Kindergarten report card looking sort of picture on it. The words were 'PLAYS WELL WITH OTHERS'! And she did.
