How about a trip to the I-75 Flea Market!

When it's this hot, you have to get creative! We've enjoyed a lot of drives in the countryside so when I packed our picnic lunch, I didn't know where we might end up.

I was SHOCKED when hubby drove into the I-75 Flea Market parking lot! We've never been to this one (I'm not sure my husband has EVER been to any flea market! haha).

It was fun to walk around and see all the neat things for sale.

Hubby took pics of the go cart race cars next to it and I turned around and took a pretty fence in the other direction.

Of course you can't go to the Flea Mkt without coming home with something quirky!

How's this for 'out of the ordinary'?

 Look at the side...

 Open it up...

 and what do you have?

A two sided clock! Both sides work independently. So I can set one for a different time zone if I want. Or put it somewhere so that you can see both sides on the same time!

The only other thing I bought was actually on my wish list! Handmade paper! (for the craft project I'm working on)

I got 2 books of handmade paper, different weights! YAY!

And guess what I spent for everything?

 $10 !!!

You can't beat that for a fun morning at the Flea!

I’m joining Mosaic Monday HERE.

The two sided clock is indeed a good, out of the ordinary find. The flea market has surprises for everyone, especially for the regular visitor.

Now I want to go to the flea market. I giggled that your hubby took the pics of the go-carts and you got a fence in, too. Multi-tasking! The quirkier the find the better -- the clock is fun. The handmade paper that you found is lovely. $10 ... you were a cheap date! Happy Monday!

My son in Texas wrote and said that with all of the HEAT there, they went to the movies yesterday!!!!! I wouldn't have thought to go to a Flea Market on a hot day --but apparently, you all had a good time.... Interesting clock (or should I says CLOCKS) for sure.....

Glad you got your handmade paper....

Great finds and such bargains! Out driving today I saw a huge sign for a flea market here in Orlando I wonder if it's the same one?
Having a great time here in the sunshine state even during the rain!
Happy Mosaic Monday.

Now if that clock doesn't take the cake!!! I never saw one before. It has been a long time since I have been to a flea market. Glad you had fun.

Diane - we don't have many flea markets in Montana, but we seem to have more thrift stores than we had in Ohio .... I love visiting them to look for 'lawn art' for our future home. I am really curious about the background behind the clock - makes me think of the Antiques Roadshow - maybe they could tell you the history and the value!!! Have a wonderful week!

Hello,Diana,
Wow...! such a lovely old clock! It is fun to see two faced clock, quite original, and I like to see the color and the paint has come off in places. Looking around flea markets is fun. The handmade paper you bought is so lovely.
Mostly in Japan, flea market is held in local temple gardens. Your clock reminds me of my late father-in-law's pretty clock I still keep, which has logo “made in occupied Japan” 1945-1950. It gives me something special feeling like yours.
I hope you have a wonderful day.

A two-faced clock is something I've never seen or heard of. I wonder what its purpose was? It's a fun piece to have at home - you could decide what time it is on one side and just turn the clock when you wanted to. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the handmade paper.

Diane, I love the clock. One set for home and the other for family far away. I remember when I had family a couple of time zones away and always having to do the math as to what time it was there before I called. The quirkiness and color are terrific. Love handmade paper. Looking forward to a future post. Thanks for sharing and have a great week. Sylvia D.
