"One Excuse is as good as another"

That's a famous quote! Do you know who said that? My Dad! heehee! He hated excuses and when he 'felt' one coming he would say, "One excuse is as good as another". In other words, don't give me your 'excuses'! So I'll just say, I'm sorry I haven't blogged lately and more importantly that I haven't visited any of my blog buddies.

I was in another country...one that doesn't have internet....and I broke both my wrists.....and I looked at the coo coo bird in the previous post and went coo coo. See what I mean. Lame excuses....don't you think? hahahaha!
 I'm just KIDDING!!!

I've been fine! And crafting like crazy. I've been working at my crafts like it's a regular job! But I'm doing something that's SO much fun. And I promise I'll share it soon!

So I'm ready to get back on my computer and do some visiting. What's new with all of YOU?

We are keeping everyone in Texas in our prayers this week. What a devastating week it's been for our country.

(butterflies in the Pentas in our flower bed)

Thanks for visiting and God bless you!

Beautiful flowers and always good to be busy! Blogging is fun but too much sitting is not good for anyone. Have a great week!

Oooh, now I just want to know what you're up to. Are you doing a craft show?

We are fine here in North Texas but definitely in shock for those on the coast.

These are really pretty pictures, Diane. Such clear ones of the butterfly, especially since they flutter about so quickly. I'm glad you're fine, and Yes, I was wondering where you've been? It seems that we care about our blog friends very much and notice when they've been missing for long. : )

Have a splendid week, and God bless you too!

Yoour gorgeous pictures just scream FLORIDA! Just so lovely. I'm busy watching others renovate my house. But I will get busy cleaning and trying to fix my kitchen cabinets. I'm keeping the people of Texas in my thoughts.

What beautiful pictures and my favorite is the very first one.
You came up with some good excuses. : )

Oh so sorry to hear about all your troubles :-) I seem to have fallen off my horse, got my leg caught in the elevator, fallen down the stairs and - oh well, you know - One excuse is as good as another. LOL I actually have been spending so much time outdoors on the deck in our lovely sunny warm summer that I've neglected my photos and blog and blog reading - but autumn will come and we'll have rain and lots of time for indoors. I do adore summer in the Pacific Northwest.

Your flowers and butterflies are just fabulous, I've never seen that flower before - it is gorgeous. And can't wait to see your crafting when you are ready to share - it sounds so interesting.

I have all the Southern Belle crocheted dresses finished for the dolls so hopefully I'll get to JF and get some wide ribbon for the waist bands and then get photos done before the summer is over.

Happy week ahead my dear - enjoy your crafts.

Any and all excuses accepted when you come back with beauty pictures like these! (I'm only blogging once a week now because that's the only way I can possibly keep up -- so, to be honest, I hadn't realized you were missing in action ... I posted on Thursday last week and am just now getting around to my favorite bloggy people.) I feel terrible about the Texas Gulf Coast -- we spent three different wonderful winters either in Rockport or Port Aransas, both which are pretty much destroyed now.

It is flooding in the Fort Myers area too now (according to the on-line paper and friends who are there all year) -- from a different storm front apparently. But nothing like the hurricane and aftermath in Texas. Eeek!

Looking forward to seeing your crafty project

Hello, you certainly do not have to make excuses for not blogging. I am glad you are fine and having fun doing your crafts. I love the beautiful butterfly and flower images. Looking forward to see what you are working one.

Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!

I hadn't planned on reading any posts this morning as I have a very busy morning, but your title in my blog roll caught my eye. I couldn't help but think of what my Aunt Evelyn said about excuses... "Excuses are like crying babies in church, both need to be carried out." :)
Anyway, you need no excuse to have fun crafting. Can't wait to see what you have been up to.

Hi Diane! What gorgeous photos and I had some pentas when we lived in Texas. It's dreamlike that we lived in Galveston for 2o years and I can't imagine what all our fellow Texans are going through right now. Oh, yes! You need to get a dollhouse. I'm excited to get started on mine.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

The Pentas and butterfly pictures are just stunning. Great job of capturing their beauty.

I have come to a virtual standstill with my blogs. I am more interested in selling off all of my dishware than I am in setting up new tablescapes. The items that don't sell will be donated.

I have sold two of the AG dolls as well (I miss them now). But I did come across an older (very chubby in the middle) Samantha AG doll at a thrift store recently. At least she looks like Samantha. I do like her a lot.

I want to get the doll's dresses finished for their tea party soon. I have several made and several more cut but I will need to finish at least six or seven more to be able to dress all of the girl cousin dolls.

I have lots of excuses for not blogging too. My best excuse is "I just didn't feel like it!" I have spent my summer playing in the fairy garden and I did finally take some pictures (the fairy garden and the new dolls) that I will post today.

Have fun enjoying the rest of the Summer!
Hugs
Candy

I hope all is alright....missed you! Your butterfly pictures are beautiful. I always give to the Salvation Army in times of crisis. I didn't comment on your latest post as I do not want to be in the drawing. I love your junk journaling but I am trying to get rid of things not acquire more! LOL! Glad you are enjoying yourself and creating!

By the way, the blue bird you captured in your previous post is awesome. You must be a magnet for beautiful things!

It's good to take a break once in awhile, and it's even better if it means you've been creative.
The butterfly and penta photos are gorgeous! Love the colour.

Good grief Diane, when i first started reading, i thought you were serious about the broken wrists! Then i read on. LOL. I am glad you are okay. I've had to go to once a week blogging during the summer. Our summers are just packed, since Wisconsinites know we have to cram everything into May through October, and mostly June through August!
