Halpata Tastanaki Preserve "Hike #35"

We call it HTP for short and it's a glorious hike!

It's wide open for the most part so it's best on a cloudy cool day. (and we had ONE last week! lol)

The trails weren't grown up too much but there were stickers or sand burs to watch out for.

It was a surprise to see how many wildflowers were in bloom. And even a persimmon tree loaded with fruit. Pucker up! heehee!

I 'trailed' behind this famous photographer

 who took this amazing photo!

Aren't the greens and reds soft...it almost looks like Spring!

Our potted chrysanthemums are still beautiful too.

What's blooming at your house?

I’m joining Mosaic Monday HERE .

I'd call it HTP too. Lovely shots.

Wish I'd been with you. I've been lazy lately.

That was a beautiful place to hike! We hiked yesterday in our mud boots. Hiked down to take care of the critters! Only wild yellow flowers are blooming here in the country right now. Yesterday we didn’t even turn the AC on and had the windows and door open. I think we are not going to have more than a day or two or f fall weather this year......

It was a wonderful place. I love to enjoy my time in those places. Beautiful flowers!

Hello, the name of the park is a mouthful. HTP is much easier to say.
I love the wildflowers and images. Like like a great place for a hike. Your mums are all beautiful.

Happy Monday, enjoy your new week ahead!

HTP looks like a great place to hike through especially in the company of a ""famous photographer"! Love your colourful mums, it's starting to get a little damp, brown and drab here in Normandy as we begin to put everything to sleep for winter.
Thanks for bringing some much needed sunshine to Normandy today.

Looks like a wonderful place to hike. We still have a lot of wildflowers, but it is going to frost this next weekend so that will put an end to them. xo Laura

I would call it HTP too! Such a lovely hike! My chrysanthemums were frozen one morning. The frost sneaked up on me. Yours are still beautiful.

Lovely shots from your walk. I can't believe I still have some petunias blooming and one little daisy. Couple blooms still on the day lilies too. Can't believe all this warm weather. Makes me wonder what kind of winter we'll have this year!!!

Look at the pretty potted mums! I love them!

I thought of you yesterday. We saw a huge bald eagle on the side of the road after we'd dropped Shelley off at school after fall break. We later learned that several bald eagles nest at Perry Lakes Park near Judson College, and that the school is involved in many of the park's activities. Here is the link. I thought you might enjoy looking at the website. The eagles are at the bottom of the home page, so you have to scroll down to see them.

My flowers are so happy in these extended warm temps. The ivy is so happy, it can hardly take it. Sadly, my mum is tired and not doing so great. Yours look terrific!

What beautiful photographs, Diane. There isn't much growing at my house. It has been pouring rain all day. PS Lilah Rose thanks you for the snuggles!

Diane - how wonderful that you have been able to get out and about, and that wildflowers are still blooming! One of the blessings of warm weather. (I remember the sand burs from the three years we lived in FL - I don't miss them!) Autumn is in full swing here; even the mums are starting to look a bit bedraggled, so I was glad to see your lovely shots. Have a wonderful week!

What's blooming here?--well lets see---hot pink geraniums, purple mystery flowers, still some butterfly bush lantanas, roses, begonias, that's all I can think of right now. We've had alot of rain the past few days. So everything will be bursting forth again real soon! Love the pictures!

Beautiful place to hike. The mum collage is gorgeous. Most of our flowers in the garden have slowed down but the pineapple sage is still very pretty with bright red blooms.

a nice place for a walk. almost nothing is blooming in my gardens but i do have a few mums on the porch that are looking mighty pretty!!!

your beautiful mums reminded me of mine!!!

You made me in the mood for hiking. Freed from the long rainy days at last, I can’t keep still for a walk with camera. I also choose cloudy and cool day to hike around such open field. Your mosaic of chrysansthmum is perfectly lovely. In my garden, Japanese bush clovers, roses, and cosmoses are blooming as it is relatively warm here in late October.

Beautiful hike -- the flowers are beautiful -- and beautifully 'arranged' in that mosaic. i'm getting homesick.

I'm late to Mosaic Monday reading this week. Glad you had at least one cool day that was just right for a long hike. Your husband's photo is lovely, and so are yours. My porch mums are looking a little sad these days. Time to clip them, I think.
