The Last of the Fall leaves

After November 1st you can be sure most of the leaves will be on the ground here in the Mountains of NC but I found a few ‘hangers on’!

I’ll have to zoom in for you to find these!

But quite a few were still colorful on the ground.

We hiked at Fletcher Park and I took pics on the run. It was cool and windy!

This Cypress tree was gorgeous and there were some people having a picnic nearby. (they didn’t stay long!)

Do you recognize this green leaf? It looks a little like a mitten, doesn’t it?

Have you been able to get outside and walk this week?

I’m joining Mosaic Monday HERE .

I just came in from our walk. It's a cool and lovely morning here, soon to get warm. As soon as the sun came out, it was time to peel off my layers. I always wanted to visit the mountains of NC, but never did. Looking forward to more great pictures.

Diane, I love seeing the colors of that sky and some of the leaves you could still find. All our trees are bare except for the willow. Of course still green color in the pines. :):) Blessings to you and yours, enjoy your thanksgiving. xoxo, Susie

Neat fall colors--yep--I managed to escape to the 'closed' dock both Sat and Sun and seen my critter friends and some other interesting wild life--sure wished they would get it opened so I could go more often!!( they say it is unsafe--but it is safe--the office here just doesn't like the dock and will look for any excuse to close it--but I know how to get under the closed sign!!! I am such a 'bad' girl!!)
Have a great thanksgiving-di

Such pretty mosaics! I love the leaves. The second photo with the Carolina blue sky and leaves is simply stunning.

UGH! I've been outside cleaning storm damage from Saturday night's storm. Nothing major, but we did have a weather vane break in several places and tons of limbs. No fun walks for me....now it's crunch time to get everything ready for Thanksgiving, but I enjoy it.

I always enjoy your Mosaic Monday posts!

I always enjoy the colors of the fall leaves so love the pic with the reddish/rust colored leaves. Beautiful pics. Mwe have lost many of our leaves here in Kentucky. My birch trees are bare. But it does make it a little easier to photograph the birds sitting on branches.

What gorgeous colour on the cypress tree. Funny you should ask about a walk - hubby and I just came in from a brisk walk in the night, and now I've made a cup of tea and am reading a few blogs. Great group of leaves on the ground!

I like the way how you spotlighted the fallen leaves. The mosaic is lovely, and each leaf has its own beauty which will be muted in colors before crumbling. I can feel majestic aura from that gorgeous Cypress even in the photo.

I enjoyed seeing your views from the mountains at this time of year. We had hoped to plan a little leaf peeping trip there, but it didn't happen. Oh well... maybe next year. The cypress tree is looking especially lovely.

Oh, that Cypress tree is so pretty. Love the Autumn colors. The trees are bare in the mountains already! We still have leaves hanging on, but I noticed they are falling fast and wondering when the trees will turn bare.

Happy Thanksgiving, Diane. I'm thankful for your friendship through the years.

love, ~Sheri

I am happy to see that you are still enjoying your vacay in NC. The sun was shining here today. It was supposed to rain, but the sun came out, and it turned out to be a lovely day. Alan got out his tractor and mowed for the last time this year. He brought in the snow blower. So, we are ready!

I was able to get out for a walk Sunday, the only day this week without precipitation in the forecast! Never mind, it means I have more time to visit with my blogging friends!
